Review: Oh Deer Sugar Seas The Day Body Wash

Hi guys! I'm back on a Monday (woo hoo!) with a Review of the Oh Deer Sugar Seas The Day Shower Moose Body Wash. You may remember I recently bought this along with a few other products in my Another Oh Deer Sugar Haul post. Well since then I've been blue-lathering away like a Smurf, so I thought it was high time (high tide since it's called Seas The Day?) to review this baby.

'A pocket full of sweets, a bottle of homemade lime cordial and you're all set to spend the day at the beach'

I opted for the large pot ($28 for 250ml) but these body washes are also available in a smaller pot ($16 for 100ml). Now this does seem a little exxy, but rest assured the quality of these shower mooses plus the fact they last a good while, in my opinion make it totally worth it. I've been a fan of Oh Deer Sugar ever since they opened up in Adelaide many moons ago. They have since re-located interstate, but thankfully you can order online.

Seas The Day is a gorgeous bright and vibrant blue colour. As soon as you open the pot you are hit with the loveliest beachy, fresh fragrance. It is strong and does linger well after you've lathered your body in the shower. You only need a small amount to clean yourself, and it's as simple as scooping out a small portion then rubbing it into wet skin. The texture foams up a bit and it becomes easier to lather it all around your nude self. It feels lovely and the scent is to die for! These body washes also double as shaving creams, but I haven't used them for that.

My skin is left soft and clean, but best of all, smelling so good. Think lime, yet sweet and beachy fresh. This Seas The Day shower moose in particular is a great pick me up for a morning shower, but that doesn't stop me using it during my late night shower, because there is honestly nothing better than hopping into bed at night, clean and smelling fresh and beachy.

I highly recommend Oh Deer Sugar Seas The Day Shower Moose Body Wash. In all honesty, ODS rarely miss the mark. I've tried many of their different body washes and scrubs over the years, and loved the majority of them.

You can check out the Oh Deer Sugar website here.

Another Oh Deer Sugar Haul!

Hi guys! This is the closest I've come to not getting a post out on Monday, but I'll be damned if I'm going to ruin my streak at this point, so here we are! Basically a combination of being really busy last week plus there being sickness in the house meant I totally forgot about it. Oopsie! But luckily, I buy things on the reg, so could easily whip up this 'Another Oh Deer Sugar Haul' post, lol.

I had a lot of ODS points to redeem plus there were free samples and Lucky Dips and whatnot to add to my order, so putting in another order was a no-brainer. My last order from them was in March this year. I normally only do one Oh Deer Sugar purchase every year, but sometimes you just gotta #treatyoself

Side note; I haven't had time to finish my Birthday Freebies post yet, despite teasing it recently. Once school goes back I'll have way more time to get this post finished, so hold tight on that one. Like Christmas, it's still coming!

Back to the Oh Deer Sugar goodies. Let's have a look at what I bought!

If you've read my posts over the years, you'll know that my favourite ever Oh Deer Sugar products are the Soda Pop Body Scrubs and the Shower Mooses (spelt this way on purpose, doe!). First up is the Seas The Day Shower Moose Body Wash, which smells ah-mazing! 'A pocket full of sweets, a bottle of homemade lime cordial and you're all set to spend the day at the beach'. I love fresh, clean, beachy smells, so this is definitely my jam!

Next, a full-size Ice Cream Parlour Soda Pop Body Scrub. 'Banana split ice cream topped with sliced strawberries, mangoes, kiwi fruit and vanilla syrup.' Fruity and sweet, this should be an absolute delight to shower with! I love that the soda pop version of their scrubs have a whipped, moist texture instead of the drier, more abrasive OG scrubs.

My first foray into shower steamers and I'm intrigued! So you're meant to place this little cube on your shower floor under running water and the heat and steam will release the aroma. I opted for the Juicy Shower Steamer, which smells like freshly squeezed citrus fruits. I can't wait to try it!

I had a code to get a free Lucky Dip but when I applied the code it didn't seem to work so I added it again and basically I ended up with two of these (I think I paid for one and one was free). Anyway they are Dessert Shot Drops and I have no idea what that is lol. After researching on site, it seems they are Wax Melts with 'lucky dip' fragrances that are a secret and you're meant to guess them. OK then.

I got a couple of free samples, the first of which is this little blue Lego Brick Wax Melt. And lastly, this green Tropicolada Body Scrub. You can add a Free Sample to your order, choosing from Home, Body or Shower categories. I picked Shower and ended up with the body scrub which I'm really pleased with. I'm not sure how I ended up with two, but I'm not complaining. Got to love a freebie!

Oh Deer Sugar Haul!

Hi guys! Today's post is just a quick one (edit - turned out longer than I anticipated lol) to show you my recent haul from Oh Deer Sugar. I used to love going into their Adelaide store in Regent Arcade in the city, and smelling all their gorgeous products in person, but they've since moved interstate, so online ordering it is!

Oh Deer Sugar are the 'first non-edible bakery' and make divine smelling bath and body products such as bath bombs, crumbles, soaks and bubblebaths, and body scrubs, washes and shower steamers. Their products are really fun, such as the delightful waffle and donut bath bombs and the chocolate block soaps.

However my all-time favourite ODS products are the Soda Pop Body Scrubs and the Shower Moose Body Washes. Let's take a look at what I ordered!

Popcorn Soda Pop Body Scrub (250ml) $24.50

From the website: Smells like 'fresh hot popcorn sprinkled with sea salt and drizzled with rich caramel sauce (new scent)'

This indeed smells exactly like hot buttered popcorn. I don't know how they nail these scents, but oh boy, this smells amazing! I love the texture of the soda pop body scrubs. They also make straight up body scrub from sugar crystals and almond or coconut flour that's a dry mix and more abrasive, but I always gravitate towards the soda pop scrubs, as they have a more whipped, foamy texture that still gives a good exfoliation effect.

Some of the other Soda Pop Body Scrubs I've tried and enjoyed are the multi-coloured Love Is Love (smells like candy, rainbows and equality, lol) and the delicious cocktail inspired Pina Colada. I've also used several ODS Scrubs, but I don't like the texture as much.

Ocean Eyes Shower Moose Body Wash (100ml) $16.00

From the website: Smells like 'botanical sage and ocean waves.'

You can get these products in 250ml or 100ml; for the two shower mooses (intentional spelling, because it's Oh DEER Sugar) I opted for the smaller sizes because then I can try two different products instead of one big one, haha.

This is a gorgeous blue shade and smells really fresh and clean. It does remind me of the beach. I can't wait to try it and get the full ocean experience. Some of the other Mooses I've tried and would recommend (if they indeed still make these varieties!) are: Rose & Passionfruit, Peachy Keen and Confetti Fawn.

Lemon, Lime & Bitters Shower Moose Body Wash (100ml) $16.00

There's no fragrance description on the website for this one. But I can tell you it smells so good! It's a lovely pinky orange colour. I forgot to say ODS products are handcrafted, vegan and cruelty free. I'll give you a How To Use from the website instead:

'I'M THICK LIKE MOOSE, SCOOP ME OUT & LATHER ME ALL OVER UNTIL I BUBBLE & FOAM'.

They also included a little free sample in with my order, a small pack of Mylk Bath.

Which one of these takes your fancy?

November Beauty Empties!

Hi guys! It's time for another beauty empties post. I think I may have absentmindedly thrown out a few things (oops!) so this probably isn't everything. Also, I definitely need a good house clean up, because these were located all over the place. I envy those of you who are super organised!

Batiste Dry Shampoo (Rose Gold)
I really liked the fragrance of this one and would definitely get it again. The floral packaging design is super pretty too and I do like looking at cute products that look good in the bathroom!

Batiste Dry Shampoo Plus (Heavenly Volume)
I'm definitely going to keep buying this one as it's specifically formulated to impart extra volume, which my hair needs. Not as pretty to look at, but meets the needs of my hair type better than the Rose Gold version.

3 x Maybelline Masterliners
Hands down my favourite everyday eyeliner, of course I will continue to buy them, and have already done so (I like having at least two back-ups in the cupboard). I'm not sure that I used all three of these last month, but that's how many I found! You can usually get them half price at Chemist Warehouse or stock up when Priceline are having a makeup sale.

L'Oreal Elvive Fibralogy Thickening Shampoo
I've already bought my next bottle, as I love this stuff. I really hope it's not discontinued as I believe the Fibralogy Thickening Serum has been. Give a girl a break, L'Oreal!

Hair Recipe Strawberry & Mint Cleanse Shampoo
I love using this as a first cleanse to get rid of any build up of product, before going in with the above-mentioned Fibralogy thickening shampoo. I tried some different deep clean type clarifying shampoos but nothing really worked until I tried this one. Again, I get it when Priceline is having a half price haircare sale!

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Solution
I won a trio of mini Bioderma micellar waters and aren't they just the cutest thing ever? These are the best micellar waters I've tried and the only negative is that the bottle isn't bigger!

Oh Deer Sugar Use Your Melon Shower Moose
This watermelon and lime shower mousse was amazing! I love these fragrances and the Oh Deer Sugar mooses (spelled that way on purpose!) are definitely Holy Grail products for me. I love the whipped texture and they're so much fun to use. I'm currently using a Banana and Vanilla Milkshake one from the same line. You can read my mini-review of the Oh Deer Sugar Rose & Passionfruit Shower Moose here.

Lime Crime Glitter Helper
I'm throwing this out because unfortunately it has gone off. I didn't get that much use out of it either! Oh well.

Revlon Photoready Colour Correcting Pen
I love love love this product and have already replaced it during the recent Priceline cosmetics sale. It's perfect for hiding my dark circles and the formula smooths on effortlessly and blends like a dream.

May Empties!

Hi guys! A short and sweet empties post from me today. I only finished seven products last month, but then as soon as we went into June, the empties started piling up, so next month's post will feature a lot more products. In the meantime, here's everything I completed in May.

Batiste Stylist XXL Volume Spray
This is still not as good as my favourite Batiste XXL Volume Dry Shampoo (that they discontinued - boo!) but I'm learning to like it more I guess. I'm settling. I'm still pissed off that I can no longer buy the best volumising dry shampoo I had found on the market though. Can you tell?

Hask Coconut Oil Nourishing Shine Hair Oil
I wish this wasn't so hard to find because I flat out love it! The coconutty fragrance immediately transports me to a tropical island/white sand/blue water/laying on the beach/sipping cocktails type sitch, and it makes my hair look healthy as well. I couldn't find it in-store to repurchase, so I'm trying the Argan Oil Healing Shine one (featured in this Priceline 50% Off Haircare Haul post) instead!

Clinique Youth Surge Age Decelerating Moisturiser
This was a little sample pot that still managed to take me forever to finish. It was nice enough but I've got other moisturisers to get through, so I won't be buying it.

Oh Deer Sugar (Oh) Candy Cane Mint & Coconut Body Scrub
I actually won this in a Giveaway two Christmases ago (eek!) so I thought I better get a wriggle on and use it up! I wasn't a huge fan unfortunately, despite loving most Oh Deer Sugar products. I find their dry scrubs quite harsh on the skin, and much prefer the softer, gentler formula of the Soda Pop creamy scrubs. It did smell minty and fresh though!

Oh Deer Sugar (Oh) Confetti Fawn Jellybean & Popping Candy Shower Moose
The Oh Deer Sugar shower mooses (moose, deer, get it??) are my most favourite line from this brand! I adore the creamy, whipped formula and they are an absolute delight to use. I did enjoy Confetti Fawn but I won't repurchase as I want to try all the fragrance varieties in the range. You can read my thoughts on the lovely fruity Peachy Keen one and the Rose & Passionfruit one in my March Favourites and September Favourites blog posts respectively.

L'Occitane Divine Eye Balm
The L'Occitane store at Westfield Marion was handing out these samples as I was passing by so I thought I'd try them. I haven't tried much from this brand (maybe a hand cream?), and I have a particular interest in eye creams, however I couldn't really form much of an opinion from this tiny sample. The product was fairly thick and moisturising, as you'd expect from a balm.

L'Occitane Divine Eyes
This is a much lighter formula than the Eye Balm and was nice enough, but again I couldn't really test it properly from the sachet sample, as it just lasted a few goes. A good way to make my expensive eye creams last longer, via the use of free samples in the interim though?

So I didn't finish up that many products last month, but blogging about them has inspired me to try harder and I think I'll aim to write an Empties post every month. That way I can actually bin my finished products instead of hanging on to them for a blog post I never end up writing!

Disappointing Products!

Hi guys! I'm not sure I've ever written a disappointing products post before, so this will be interesting! I know I love reading these types of posts, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. Please remember that just because I found a product disappointing, doesn't mean it's universally bad or that you won't like it. We are all different, and something I dislike, you may love, or something that doesn't work for me, may suit other people just fine. OK, time to see what has disappointed me lately!

1. Amie New Leaf Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish*
I saw other bloggers posting on Instagram that they really liked this product, but it does nothing for me. It is extremely gentle, to the point where this doesn't even polish my skin. There are barely any scrubby bits, as in I'm literally struggling to feel any abrasive action happening. I'm sure this would be great on youthful skin, but for me I need something that's actually going to work as an exfoliant, not a ridiculously gentle creamy wash. I'm not totally against Amie though, as their Petal Perfect Gently Cleansing Micellar Water* did make my Favourites back in March.

2. Oh So Coco Coco Fresh Natural Deodorant
I wouldn't normally use a natural deodorant, and in fact I won this in a competition along with a few other Oh So Coco products, so thankfully I didn't pay for it. I'm so sad about this one, because it actually has a delightful fragrance and contains a lot of my favourite scents, from peppermint to lemongrass, lime and tea tree. But the fact of the matter is, it caused my armpits to break out in a red rash! I simply stopped using it and moved on, so I was surprised when hubby told me he ran out of deodorant so used my roll-on (this is the only roll-on I have) and that it gave him a rash. So two of us used it and it gave us both a nasty red rash. No, thank you!

3. Dr Bronner's 4-In-1 Sugar Lemongrass Lime Organic Pump Soap
This looks so good, the packaging is bold and pretty and I was so excited to use this, but now I'm just begrudgingly using it up and not gaining any pleasure from it. Lemongrass and lime is right up my alley, but the fragrance is underwhelming and not only that, the formula is thin and watery. The soap is also brown, not that gorgeous green that the packaging would have you believe. I ordered this online, so I couldn't turn it upside down in-store, otherwise I would have know it's the plastic bottle that's green, not the soap!

4. Oh Deer Sugar Lemon Lime Bitters Bath Donut (not pictured)
This was an epic fail for me. I drink lemon lime & bitters all the time, and citrus scents are my all-time favourite, but this just didn't smell good. Also, despite packaging instructions claiming it was re-usable, the donut completely disintegrated as soon as I put it under running water. There wasn't the least bit of structural integrity (lol) and it rendered itself GONE instead of re-usable pretty damn quickly. To top things off, it produced minimal bubbles and I had to chuck a Lush bath bomb in anyway to get the water to the point where I actually still wanted to use it.

That's it, you guys! Let me know your thoughts on any of these products if you've tried them, I'd love to get more opinions!

Oh Deer Sugar Haul!

Hello! I mentioned in my Mother's Day Gift Guide that I treated myself to an Oh Deer Sugar haul, and I wanted to show you that today! I saw that they were releasing a Mother's Day collection, checked it out and immediately fell in love with the Ombre Macarons. I love bath and shower products, and these babies were pretty and the scents sounded amazing! At only $15 for three re-usable bubblebath macarons, it was really a no-brainer. Then things kind of snowballed from there.

A little background on Oh Deer Sugar for the uninitiated. Oh Deer Sugar is a four year old South Australian non-edible bakery that makes vegan bath and body products. The products are not tested on animals and all the ingredients are ethically sourced. But most importantly, their products are the shit, you guys. The Shower Moose is something else, with two different varieties making my Monthly Favourites (Oh Peachy Keen Peaches And Cream here and the Oh Passion Rose & Passionfruit here).

Despite my addiction to the deliciously fragrant moussey delight that is Oh Deer Sugar shower moose, I thought it high time that I branch out a little and experience more ODS goodness. So that's enough waffling (and there is a non-edible waffle in this haul!), let's get on with the goodies!

Oh Deer Sugar Haul!
~ Ombre Macarons Bubble Bath (Mother's Day range)
~ Candy Krush Waffle Bath Bomb
~ Lemon, Lime & Bitters Donut Bubble Bath
~ Bubblegum Grape & Blueberry Chocolate Block Soap
~ Confetti Fawn Jellybeans & Popping Candy Chocolate Block Soap

Ombre BubbleBath Macarons from the Mother's Day collection. So pretty!
Candy Krush Waffle Bath Bomb. So waffley!
Lemon, Lime & Bitters Donut Bath Bomb. So orange!
Oh Confetti Fawn and Oh Bubblegum Chocolate Block Soaps. So colourful!

Mother's Day Gift Guide!

Well hello May! With Mother's Day fast approaching, I thought I'd put together my recommendations for lovely presents, in the form of my (hopefully!) helpful Mother's Day Gift Guide! I'm a Mum myself, so I'm well aware some of us have a tendency to put ourselves last. So this Guide will be focussed on gorgeous products that Mums can relax and pamper themselves with. Because if there's any day we should indulge in 'me time' on, it has to be Mother's Day! Read on for some delightful pampering gifts ideas and let me know which is your favourite in the comments!

GUESS 1981 Eau de Toilette Spray*
This fragrance comes in a cute pale pink box and the bottle itself is minimal and stylish, with a round design and a square silver lid. Described as elegant, sophisticated and graceful, the scent is feminine, modern and sexy. Guess 1981 would be perfect for date night, as it's sensual and musky with a strong floral scent. In terms of composition, the top notes are violet and ambrette seed, with a fruity and floral heart of pear, jasmine petals and sandalwood and a base of musk, amber and cedar wood.  Available in 50ml and 100ml eau de toilette bottles, you can either go all out and buy this as Mum's major gift, or get the super-cute smaller size and add it as an extra gift to spoil her!

Available from May. Stockists unavailable at time of posting. Priceline and Chemist Warehouse stock Guess fragrance though, so my best Guess (haha) would be there.

Oh Deer Sugar Ombre Bubblebath Macarons
This three pack of ombre bubblebath macarons are possibly the cutest thing I've ever bought! I fall more in love with Oh Deer Sugar every time I step inside this South Australian non-edible bakery, and I went so far as to treat myself with an online haul the day they released their Mother's Day range! (Look out for that blog post in the future). These smell amazing and are pink, pretty and the perfect Mother's Day gift because everyone loves a fragrant bubblebath, right? The scents are apricot and grapefruit, peaches and cream and peony and nectarine. I talk about Oh Deer Sugar Oh Peachy Keen Shower Moose in my March Favourites and the Oh Passion Rose & Passionfruit Shower Moose in my September Favourites, such is my love for these products.

Available at Oh Deer Sugar in Regent Arcade, Adelaide or at Oh Deer Sugar online.

Sally Hansen Color Therapy Nail Polish*
The reason this is 'color therapy' is because the formula contains Argan Oil, so it's supposed to 'care while you wear'. I love multi-tasking products, and this is a nail polish, top coat, cuticle and nail oil in one! I have trialled these polishes and I really love them. I think combining nail colour (which a lot of us enjoy wearing) with a nail treatment is a fantastic idea, because multi-tasking for the win, right guys? I can recommend the shade Pampered in Pink (third from the left in the above photo - check out my Manicure and Review of that here) because it's bright, cheerful, feminine and I love how it looks on my nails. I think a lot of other Mothers would love it, too!

Available at Priceline, Target, Kmart, Chemist Warehouse, Woolworths and Coles.

Urban Rituelle Wellness Cleansing Bars*
If you're looking for something a little bit special this Mother's Day, I can highly recommend these luxurious cleansing bars from Urban Rituelle. They're a bit more expensive than other soaps, but they are high quality, super large in size so they last ages and the fragrances are out of this world! Before I wax lyrical about the scents, these cleansing bars from the new Harvest range are also palm oil free, vegan friendly and Aussie made using 100% naturally derived ingredients. Being a huge citrus lover, I was delighted to trial Grapefruit, Lemon, Pineapple & Celery; Blood Orange, Papaya & Mandarin and lastly Lemon Myrtle, Lemongrass & Muddled Mint. The other fragrances are Guava, Cranberry & Goji Berries; Rose Infused Coconut Water, Cucumber and Aloe and lastly Coconut, Honey, Almond & Chia.

Available at Urban Rituelle online or click here for Stockists in your area.

Weleda Tinted Lip Balm in Rose*
I've really been enjoying my Weleda Tinted Lip Balm in the Rose shade lately and think it would make a great addition to any Mother's Day gift. The formula is creamy and slightly moussey, the product feels beautiful on the lips and the finish is a flattering, shimmery light pink colour. It's like wearing a balm that's hydrating and moisturising your lips, nourishing them and making them softer whilst also giving you a soft wash of colour. This range also comes in Nude, but this is too light for my skin tone, and Berry, which I don't have so I can't comment on that one. The balm smells of rose petals and vanilla, which is an added bonus! Click here to read my probably too cheeky Brand Focus on Weleda.

Available at David Jones, selected health food stores, pharmacies, online stores and Weleda online.

Natura Siberica Active Organics Revitalizing Bath Salts*
I highly recommend these Revitalizing Bath Salts from Natura Siberica; I've used them before and seriously didn't want my tub of goodness to end! They provide an incredibly relaxing bath that would be perfect for Pamper Sunday, or Pamper any-day-of-the-week! The fragrance of these herbal salts is freakin' delightful. Even my nine year old son, who turns his nose up at a lot of smells despite producing questionable ones himself (heh), went "ahhh" when he smelt these. The ingredients include Siberian Ginseng, Rose Hip Oil and Calendula Flower Extract. I've reviewed this lovely product here.

Available at Natura Siberica online or discounted at Chemist Warehouse.

Harvest Garden French Green Clay Facial Masque*
To add to Mum's 'me time' on Mother's Day, you can't go wrong with a lovely face mask. I'm a big believer in Pamper Sunday, which usually involves a relaxing bath, a face mask and a DIY manicure if I get around to it! This Harvest Garden Facial Masque contains French Green Clay, Olive Green Australian Clay, Matcha Green Tea and Aloe Vera extract. The super-fun part is that you mix it yourself and paint it on with a brush; I love this because it brings out the artist in me! The benefits are refined pores, a reduction in irritation and revitalized skin. Clay draws out impurities, clarifies and detoxes the skin. I love Harvest Garden products and you can read my review of more from their range here.

Available at various pharmacies, health food stores, florists, giftware stores and Harvest Garden online.

Rustic Bliss Lemon And Lime Bath Milk*
Have you guessed yet that I have a penchant for bath products? This lemon and lime milk dissolves leaving you with an amazing, zesty, citrus-smelling bath that is super relaxing! I love the sweet candy-like fragrance of this Blissful bath milk that's invigorating and soothing at the same time. Check out my review of this gorgeous Rustic Bliss product here.

Available at Rustic Bliss online.

March Favourites!

It's time for another round of Beauty Favourites, and I honestly feel like I don't write enough of these posts? Like I'm not going to start posting my favourites weekly (lol) but maybe I should blog them monthly? I do try a lot of things, so there's a vast garden of ripe fruits from which to pluck my juicy picks of the bunch. OK, this is getting weird, let's start!

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lip Velvet in 09
I won this as part of a Bourjois makeup prize in the recent Beauty Crew Birthday Giveaway, and even though I'd heard about these hyped up lip velvets, I'd never actually tried one. It took all of one swipe for me to confirm that the hype is indeed justified. The formula and texture of this liquid matte lip colour are amazing. It is so light and soft on the lips, yet it's full of pigment. So we have high colour payoff combined with an extremely comfortable to wear formula, that glides on effortlessly and has a long-wearing matte finish. Luckily I enjoy the colour I received, but at the same time, I'll definitely be snapping up a few more shades at the Priceline 40% Off Cosmetics Sale (22nd and 23rd of March)!

Amie Petal Perfect Gently Cleansing Micellar Water*
I've been using this nightly to remove my makeup after receiving a duo of Amie skincare to trial, and the more I use it, the more I like it! I love that it's 'naturally kind' skincare, full of naturally-derived plant extracts and completely free from parabens, sulphates, mineral oils and pertrochemicals. It contains rose petal and argan oil extracts and smells so lovely, it's a real pleasure to use. My skin is left clean, soft and refreshed. This is an inexpensive Micellar Water that does a great job, and something I'd happily recommend.

Oh Deer Sugar (Oh) Peachy Keen Shower Moose
I love love love the texture and fragrance of these shower mooses (deliberately misspelt!) by Oh Deer Sugar. You can read my review of the delicious Rose & Passionfruit Shower Moose in my September Favourites post. I honestly thought nothing could compare to that amazing moussey delight, but the peaches and cream product is freaking brilliant. Think soft, whipped, mousse-like, fluffy af goodness that melts into your skin and lathers up luxuriously, whilst filling your nostrils with the gorgeous aroma of fruity peaches and sweet cream. I'm seriously in love and need to try all of the scents available!

Redken Beach Envy Volume Texturizing Shampoo & Conditioner*
It's amazing the difference good quality haircare products can make. I jumped at the chance to try this duo when I got the press release, because I'm always on the look out for volume-creating products for my fine, flat locks. As it stands, I already have quite an array of body builders (not that type!) in my arsenal; from thickening foams, root boost juice and extra volume dry shampoo to volumising spray and thickening treatment serums. And more, lol. But the Redken shampoo and conditioner set impressed me from the get-go, smelling delightful, providing a good lather and leaving my hair soft and healthy-looking. Weirdly, the conditioner is clear, which I don't come across often, but it did an amazing job on my hair, so the colour of it is inconsequential. During trialling, I used all my other products as usual, and only switched my shampoo and conditioner. So I scrunched through my thickening foam and blow-dried whilst scrunching as I usually would, and am pleased to say I did get bouncy waves and volume! I will definitely continue to use these products as I love the results I'm getting.

PuraSonic VIVA
I've been wanting to try a facial cleansing device for quite some time, but there are so many on the market now, it's hard to know which one to get! Well it turns out I didn't have to decide, because I won this little white baby from an Instagram Giveaway. This is so easy to use! It even came already charged up, and I haven't had to recharge it myself yet! I simply dab my cleanser of choice on my face, turn the PuraSonic VIVA on, and it literally does all the work for me. It fits easily into my hand, and it feels so nice when the brush-head is vibrating, giving my skin a much deeper clean than my fingers ever could. I don't know if you're supposed to exfoliate with it as well, but I did (but not for long, and gently!). My skin looked and felt amazing after the first go; it was so smooth and it felt cleaner than it had in ages. This also reduces the size of pores and decreases the appearance of fine lines. I am loving my new cleansing buddy!

Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Palette*
You know when you forget you have something, then re-discover it and are wowwed by it? That's what happened with this gorgeous rose gold palette! I was sent this along with some other Rimmel makeup a while back, and have just recently started using it again. This is in the shade Coral Glow, and I'm deadset reaching for the blush every week day lately! I'm also using the highlighter, but not as frequently as the flattering blush. I really love that you can build the colour up and it blends like a dream. I actually put some contour underneath, blend that out, then put the blush over the top, then blend again. If I can be stuffed have time I'll go in with some highlight on my cheekbones. So glad I've given this multi-tasking palette another go! You can read my original review of it here.

Project 10 Pan

I've decided to start my very first Project Pan, consisting of a hodgepodge of products I want to have finished by the end of the year. Some of these products just seem to sit around, nearly finished, but for an annoying 10 or so percent, so that I can't throw them out. Some are past their expiry date (oops!) and others I just want to use up so I can start other things. Let's have a look at the products.....

1 The Body Shop Watermelon Lip Balm
I bought this back in May at the Pre-Mother's Day Pamper Night and I seriously love it. It's nearly finished and I know I can use it up pretty soon. I won't re-purchase because I have a lot of other lip balms to get through!

2 Chi Chi Coconut & Lime Perfume
This is part of a gift set of colourful perfumes I won in a Giveaway on Kats Colourings blog a while back, and it's just the most delicious, Summery, tropical fragrance. But instead of spritzing Blueberry one day, Tutti Frutti the next, then Coconut & Lime every Sunday, I'm going to concentrate on getting this one finished! I don't think it will be too difficult.

3 MAC Amplified Lipstick in Craving
I don't know why I can't get into MAC lippies like a lot of other beauty lovers? I think I just haven't bought one I love yet. Anyway, this has maybe a quarter left in the bullet and I'm probably going to have to use it every day, but I'd love to finish this by the end of December.

4 NIP + FAB Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme
I quite like these night pads, but I think it's because I'm lazy and often use them to remove my makeup instead of doing a proper cleanse. I like the smell of them and I'd probably re-purchase if they were on sale. I have about 20 pads left, and even though I don't use these every night, I think I can finish the container.

5 Skin B5 Acne Control Moisturiser*
I was gifted this to review back in March (you can read my Review of the Skin B5 range here) and I use it predominantly around my jawline where I'm susceptible to hormonal breakouts. I've been trialling the ASAP skincare range during the day, but using this one at night so it can work while I sleep. I feel like it's nearly finished, so I'd love to have another item to declutter. It is really effective though!

6 Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel*
This is a big bottle from last year, and the expiry date was September this year! It's still fine though, and you may have seen me use a lot of it to make a Snow Fairy bubblebath recently (on Instagram - not in person, that would be weird and disturbing). A few more bubblebaths and I reckon this will be done!

7 Lush Santa's Belly Shower Jelly*
I was sent this as part of last year's Lush Christmas range and I think I used half of it then it got lost during my bathroom renovation. It expired on the 7th of November (so a couple of weeks ago), but it's still good. I have about half to three quarters left to go, and have been using it in every shower. These Lush jellies take ages to use up, but I'll give it a red hot go!

8 Lush Happy Hippy Shower Gel
I bought this in a gift pack, stored it in the cupboard and when I went to get it, it had leaked! Anyway Happy Hippy is my equal fave shower gel with Lush Rose Jam, and I reckon there's only one or two uses left in the bottle, so this should be no problem.

9 Oh Deer Sugar Rose & Passionfruit Shower Moose
I've been putting off using the last bit of this because I love it so much and don't want to see it go! It smells amazing and the formula is beautiful. It made my September Favourites and I think I can use this up in one generous go. I love it to death but won't re-purchase right now, as I have a lot of shower gels to get through!

10 Oh Deer Sugar Fruit Tingle Body Scrub
To be honest I just want this gone. I don't really like the harsh formula, and much prefer the Oh Deer Sugar Mango Sorbet Soda Pop Body Scrub that foams up and is gentler, but I'm not allowing myself to use any more of it until I've finished this scrub. I like the sweet fragrance, it's just a bit too 'scrubby' for me, and that's saying something!

September Favourites!

Hello! We are away on a two week Staycation for the school holidays but have just popped home for the weekend, so I thought I'd type up my September Favourites! I can't blog from where we're staying, so unfortunately replying to comments is taking a while and I'm not getting a chance to comment back on your blogs at the moment. But we are escaping the bathroom renovation work, which means I don't have to wee in front of workmen or put up with loud, annoying drilling (or whatever the hell it is they do) sounds. Can't wait for it to be over and things to return to normal!

Anyhoo, my September Favourites consists of five fabulous products that have been rocking my world on a daily basis (up until the bathroom renovation started anyway!). Let me know if you've tried any of them in the comments. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

It's as good as it looks!

Oh Deer Sugar Rose & Passionfruit Shower Moose
First of all, let's appreciate the clever moose/mousse pun. I thought it was a spelling error until the joke dawned on me! And now for the actual product. This gorgeous, bright pink 'moose' is delightfully fluffy and whipped to perfection. The consistency is amazing, and the lovely fragrance is out of this world. This applies like a dream, leaves my skin soft and clean, and smells of roses and fruit. The rose petals add a special touch of luxury, too. I really can't find a single fault with this product, and y'all need to haul arse to Regent Arcade in Adelaide and check it out. If you don't live in Adelaide, check out the Oh Deer Sugar website, as they deliver Australia-wide, too.

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer
I'm always on the hunt for good concealers, and right now, this is my favourite. I'd previously been using Maybelline Fit Me concealer, which is good, but I was finding the coverage inadequate. The Tarte concealer is versatile and I love that I can use it anywhere on my face. It's great at covering red blemishes around my chin and is amazing over the top of my Bobbi Brown Corrector under my eyes. I hate concealers that settle into fine lines and accentuate them, but this products really lives up to the 'creaseless' title. I apply it with a little brush under my eyes then blend out with a makeup sponge, and I get a really nice, natural-looking finish from it. I only wish there was more product in the tube, as I'm going through it quite quickly! I purchased this in my Sephora Haul on my Melbourne trip.

Pink Rules (300) is the third lipstick from the left

Rimmel Moisture Renew Sheer & Shine Lipstick in Pink Rules (300)*
I've reviewed this range of Rimmel lipsticks here but in terms of favourites, one particular lipstick from the collection stands out; Pink Rules. This is such an easy to wear lipstick. The hydrating formula is just that, hydrating and moisturising, and so comfortable to wear on the lips. The bright pink shade is really pretty, flattering and perfect now that the weather is warming up. I love the stain that this leaves behind. Wearing it blotted down is an easy, effortless look, and one I'm really enjoying lately!

Product at top: Ardell Mechanical Brow Pencil

Ardell Mechanical Brow Pencil
I originally discovered this product when I won a big pack of Ardell products in an Instagram giveaway, and I've been hooked ever since. I don't know if it's the strange triangular design, or if my application has improved, but my brows are looking more natural than when I was using my previous eyebrow pencil. I've been using this, along with some Ardell Pomade (when time permits) and some Benefit Gimme Brow and I'm so much happier with my brows. The triangular pencil design really allows me to vary the line thickness, depending on what look I'm going for. The only problem is actually finding this pencil in-store! I had to visit three Priceline stores to find it. It is available online here but personally I prefer to shop in-store!

Top right: Lush Passion Fruit Lip Balm

Lush Passion Fruit Lip Balm*
I was kindly sent this along with a bunch of other Lush lip balms and tooth products. In terms of the lip balms, my two favourite scents are the Key Lime Pie and Passion Fruit, but this is the one I've been reaching for every night before bed. This has a thin consistency, glides on easily and feels slick on the lips. I love that it makes my lips feel really soft and nourished. I feel like Lush have improved the design of their little metal screw-top tins as well. I remember a few Christmas lip balm releases where the tin was hard to open and never really closed properly, but no such issues with this collection. Passion Fruit appears orange in the tin. It has a slight shimmer with tiny sparkly particles and once applied imparts an ever-so-subtle orange tint. I absolutely adore the fruity fragrance of this product!
