New Release Rimmel #InstaSelfie Makeup!*

Rimmel are continuing to set the bar pretty high in the beauty world, this time with a picture perfect #InstaSelfie collection of makeup, specifically designed so you can get that perfect Instagram selfie. And while I'm not a huge fan of selfies, I enjoy looking at other people's (not in a creepy way!), and appreciate the culture and Rimmel's smart decision to cater to a growing phenomenon. Check out the camera-ready collection below, no flashback with these babies!

Insta Conceal & Correct Palette*
For those of us not blessed with perfectly even skin tone, Rimmel have released the #Insta Conceal & Correct palette. This little beauty contains three shades that address three areas of concern:

~ the peach shades is for dark circles. It neutralises dark under eye circles and illuminates face features.
~ the green shade is designed to cover blemishes and colour-correct redness.
~ the purple shade mutes yellowish undertones to correct dull and sallow skin.

The product is really creamy and easy to blend, and each shade contains chamomile, aloe and vitamin E. When I have the time I'll use a little of the green shade to correct redness around my nose, but I'm mainly enjoying the peach shade for my horrible dark under eye circles! I'm super-busy lately and not getting much sleep, which increases the severity of my dark shadows, so this palette is definitely coming in handy!

Insta Conceal & Contour Palette*
This palette has the exact same design as the Conceal & Correct palette, but instead it contains three shades for highlighting, concealing and contouring. Both of the palettes have a handy mirror in the lid, great if you want to touch up on the go. On first appearance these shades look a little dark, however when you rub your finger across the surface, the product is somehow lighter underneath. This was a welcome surprise for this pale ghost! Again, the formula is creamy and easily blendable, with the concealer proving most popular for me. The contour shade (the darkest) is to be applied beneath the cheekbones, along the jawline, edges of the forehead and nose, and of course, don't forget to blend well!

Insta Flawless Perfecting Radiant Skin Tint*
This is an existing product in the Insta range, and one I've tried before. This SPF15 product is described as a perfecting, radiant skin tint, that provides a natural looking glow, primes, perfects and gives 24 hour moisturisation. I was sent the shade Light Medium, which at first seemed a little dark for my colouring, but it's actually not too bad colour-wise. However with only two shades available (light/medium or medium/dark) I think this is a bit limiting, and would love to see more shades released, in particular an Ivory. I love that it can be worn alone as a skin perfector, or under foundation if you're after a fuller coverage. I like wearing it for a natural, barely-there look on the weekends, and for those days where I just cannot be stuffed applying a full coverage foundation before the morning school run. The lightweight and hydrating formula helps to brighten the skin tone and gives a natural looking glow.

Insta Fix & Go 2 In 1 Primer & Setting Spray*
Like the Radiant Skin Tint, this Primer & Setting Spray is an existing product that I've tested before. It's a multi-tasker that's oil-free, quick dry and designed to lock in makeup, but you can also use it to prime the skin before applying foundation. It contains cucumber extracts which give it the most amazingly refreshing and delicious scent. It's so fresh I could seriously wear this as a body mist, haha. One thing I've learned with setting sprays is not to spritz too close to the face or you will end up very wet! You want a nice dispersed, even spray, not one concentrated wet cheek circle. LOL.

Insta Fix & Matte Powder*
This is a blotting and fixing powder that sets the foundation and mattifies the skin. It's also designed to control shine (my main problem!) and diminish oils. Even though the shade looks super white, this doesn't translate to the finished look, because it's a micro-fine translucent powder, meaning it has the benefits of a powder without depositing any colour. This product is camera friendly, so you needn't be concerned with flashback while wearing this! I'm loving the embossed hashtag design in the powder; it's not often you get to see a bunch of  ##### symbols in your makeup!

Barry M Molten Metal Mani + New Releases*!

Hi guys! Today I want to show you a few new releases from Barry M Cosmetics and feature my latest manicure, the stunning Barry M Molten Metal Nail Paint in Blue Glacier*. This will be a super-quick post because I've been really busy for the last three days, and time is not my friend right now! Let's have a look at the mani!

This is two sparkly coats of shiny goodness, and although I would have liked more of a blue tinge from this 'Blue Glacier' shade, it's still really pretty. It's predominantly silver-hued with lots of tiny silver glittery particles, and applied easily and smoothly, becoming completely opaque in two coats. Thank God, because I don't think I ever have the time and/or inclination for three coats of anything! If you like the look of this Nail Paint, definitely check out the website for the rest of the Barry M Molten Metal range, they have some gorgeous colours such as Copper Mine, Gold Rush and Bronze Bae. These new shades of Molten colour are available at BeautyNext now and are launching in Big W soon. Yassss!!

There are more exciting new releases from Barry M including new shades of the Illuminating Strobe Cream* (mine is in the new shade Galactic, but you can also choose from new release Baked, and existing shades Iced Bronze and Frosty Pink) and the Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit*. If you're new to contouring you needn't worry, because there are step by step instructions on the inside lid, outlining how to highlight, bronze and sculpt using the palette.

Lastly is the exciting Barry M Cosmic Lights Highlighting Palette*. The packaging on this is super-pretty and 'out of this world'! I've yet to delve into the highlighting shades and give this a go, but I seriously can't wait! Here's a closer look inside the palette.

LUSH 2016 Halloween Collection!*

BOO! Are you excited about Halloween? We normally don't celebrate Halloween here, but this year I have a list of family-friendly movies that I'll be forcing my family to watch with me! We're talking Casper, Coraline, Hotel Transylvania, Goosebumps and Corpse Bride. Bring it on!

Even more exciting though, is this years Halloween collection from Lush! They've put together a special spooky bunch of ghoulish new releases to celebrate Halloween, and I was kindly sent a selection. The Lush 2016 Halloween Collection is available now, in-store and online, but you can only get them until the big day, October 31. So if you see anything you like, make sure you pick it up before it's too late. Let's have a look at what's in the range!

Sparkly Pumpkin Bath Bomb*
The absolute star of the show, in my opinion, is this stunning Sparkly Pumpkin Bath Bomb. I love anything shiny, and this gold glittery pumpkin certainly delivers sparkles. This is meant to give your bath water a gold lustre and 'magical' bubbles, and is fragranced with orange flower absolute, blackcurrant, juniper berries and lime oil. This orange-hued beauty smells fresh and amazing!

Monsters' Ball Bath Bomb*
This is a pink bath bomb with blue ears (horns, maybe?) and one googly eye, right in the middle. The eye fell off my monster shortly after having his photo taken, which I thought was fantastic, because honestly, what's scarier than a monster with no eyes? {Edit - I think it may have fallen off before the photo actually, because I've put it back on sideways. LMAO.} This is a monster mash-up of neroli and lime oil, both of which have uplifting qualities, so I'll be popping my eyeless freak into the bath next time hubby gets me in a bad mood, which I'm sure won't take long.

Lord Of Misrule Bath Bomb*
The vibrant colour of this bomb is absolutely gorgeous! Unlike the fresh and fruity fragrance of the pumpkin and monster, this one smells earthy, spicy, and unsurprisingly, pretty much akin to the Lord Of Misrule Shower Cream (more on that next). In the mix is patchouli, black pepper oil, vanilla absolute and popping candy. Yes, popping candy! When added to the bath, the deep green, slightly turquoise outer shell dissolves to reveal a wine-coloured centre, then crackling candy! If you like this bomb, great news; it will also be available come Christmas time.

Lord Of Misrule Shower Cream*
This is billed as an 'intoxicatingly naughty concoction' (ooh-err!) and it smells pretty much the same as the bath bomb variant; spicy and earthy from the black peppercorn and patchouli. It's like Lush shower gel, but it's a cream, so obviously it's creamier upon application. I prefer the shower gels, but the creams are good for a change. The hilarious thing is, I bought a huge 500g bottle of this at the 50% off sale last Christmas, and the label had a very Halloween-appropriate typo. It read 'Shower Scream', instead of 'Shower Cream'. This still cracks me up. Click here if you want to read my post on that.

Fireside Soap*
This looks really pretty with the red, orange and yellow flame design and again smells beautiful, but I'm not gonna lie, I'm confused, and here's why. The blurb on the product label reads 'bring this fiery soap, reminiscent of traditional Christmas songs, into the soap and make your own Christmas wonderland.' WTF? I thought it was Halloween. I also don't know how you bring a soap into a soap, lol. Anyhoo, it's a Lush soap, and I'm a massive fan of Lush soaps and I will use this and enjoy it. Fragrances; vanilla absolute and rapeseed, coconut, clovebud and pimento berry oils.

Magic Wand Soap*
This circle of goodness is tangerine scented, and smells absolutely delightful. I can't get enough of citrusy, fruity aromas, and Magic Wand also contains orange oil, pomegranate molasses and coconut oil. Lush say this shares the fragrance with Angel's Delight soap, from previous seasons, so if you liked that one, you'll probably be keen on this.

Goth Fairy Shimmer Bar*
How cute is this little guy? I'm intrigued by this shimmer bar, as it's such a unique product! This Goth Fairy is designed to be stroked over the skin so that the enriching butters melt in and nourish, while at the same time, leave an alluring sparkle behind. This feels so lovely when you glide it on, and the glittery sparkles left on the skin are plentiful. It contains illipe and cupuacu butters to nourish and soften the skin and a hell-ton of iridescent lustre particles in gold, green, purple and silver. The fragrances in this shimmer bar are grapefruit, almond and bergamot.

I would have loved to try out more of this collection before posting, but our bathroom renovation was only completed yesterday. Hurray for that though! Since these products are only on sale until the end of October, I thought I'd do more of a feature than a review. Hope you found it helpful!

As always with Lush, products are vegetarian and haven't been tested on animals, packaging is recycled and raw materials are ethically sourced. So you can shop with your conscience intact!

Getting Dirty with New Lush Massage Bars!*

Drop everything, because Lush have released a bunch of new Massage Bars! They are self-preserving, packaging free and contain a mix of beneficial essential oils that Lush say will 'soothe, smooth and boost even the prickliest of moods'. How did they know I'd be trying them out on hubby? Hehe.

Lush have sent me 'Dirty' and 'Yes Yes Yes' to try out, because obviously they think I'm due for sexy times. However, the real winner here is my husband, because he gets to relax and be pampered while I massage this goodness into his...... hairy arm (see photo below). He didn't want any other body parts to end up on my blog! LOL.

Dirty unsurprisingly contains Lush's spearmint and herbal Gorilla perfume called Dirty. Fancy that! There's also cocoa powder and the dark brown LUSH circle in the middle is vegan dark chocolate. Sensing a theme? That's right, this baby smells chocolatey and delicious. Other ingredients packed into this bar include Fair Trade Shea Butter, neroli oil, lavender absolute, sandalwood oil and thyme and oakmoss absolutes. This is my favourite of the two bars, because chocolate. As I rubbed the bar over Rob Pattinson, I mean hubby's skin it melted in and the sweet aroma filled the air. His skin was left feeling soft, warm, moisturised and smelling delightful! I've also been using Dirty as a body moisturiser on my arms and chest each morning. It's beautifully soothing, leaves my skin nourished and I enjoy inhaling the chocolatey fragrance that lingers for hours.

Yes Yes Yes is 'made with Lust: our sexiest, sultriest, unadulterated jasmine fragrance' say Lush. Unfortunately jasmine tends trigger bad headaches for me, so I only had a little play with this one, mainly on hubby. It certainly has a strong floral aroma, and contains ylang ylang, organic almond and sandalwood oils, jasmine, vanilla and rose absolutes, as well as Fair Trade organic cocoa and shea butters, which are great for their moisturising properties. I really love how soft and moisturised these bars leave the skin. This is especially good in Winter, when skin becomes drier, quicker.

Other Bars in the new range include From Dusk Till Dawn (Sicilian lemon, orange oil, ginseng, ginkgo, guarana), Percup (coffee beans, coconut, jojoba oil), Shades of Earl Grey (earl grey, lemon oil) and Tender Is The Night (vanilla, shea butter, Murumu butter). These Massage Bars have a tendency to melt, so keep them in a cool place, especially if you've got warm air conditioning or a heater on inside! I keep mine in the fridge.

The Massage Bar range retails between $12.50 - $14.95, with Dirty and Yes Yes Yes for $13.95 each. They are available from Lush, in store and online now.

LUSH: New Release Products for 2015!

Newbies, released 8 January 2015!

ALERT! NEW RELEASE LUSH PRODUCTS!

I was lucky enough to be sent a bunch of new LUSH products to try out. So exciting! These babies will be released on the 8th of January 2015, which isn't long at all. I'm so addicted to Lush it's not even funny. I still have a pre-Christmas haul to blog, and I might have indulged in a spot of soap and shower gel self-gifting at the Adelaide Myer Centre store yesterday (hey, everything I bought was 50% off from the Boxing Day sale, so it doesn't count). Anyway, here's your sneak peek of Lush new release products!

Mangnificent Soap
This is a fruity, predominantly mango soap containing big chunks of fruit! Ripe, juicy and fresh, Mangnificent would be suitable for those who enjoy fruity, zesty aromas instead of earthy, herbal ones. It also contains Sicilian lemon, mandarin and Tunisian neroli oils. There's a blend of fresh and dried mango, and you get a huge hit of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants from the fruit, including vitamins A, E, C, B, potassium and calcium. I found this to be a family-friendly soap that everyone can use, and a perfect start to the day.

Zest Hair Gelly
I'm not a hair gel person, but my husband is! So he got to trial this "self-preserving orangey hair jelly that gives both your hair and mood a boost". The fragrance is a combination of sweet wild orange oil, pettigrain oil from bitter orange tree twigs and neroli oil. The gelly looks quite runny in the pot, and I was wondering how much hold it would have, but apparently the sugar from the orange juice boosts the holding power, and the addition of carrageenan extract from Irish moss seaweed has a thickening effect and gives texture. Hubby said the consistency was like wobbly jelly and it gave his hair a wet look but did hold it in place.

African Paradise Body Conditioner
Ingredients in this in-shower conditioner include Fair Trade shea butter, moringa oil, aloe vera and ylang ylang. Lush utilise sympathetic buying and the ingredients come from SLush funded projects in Africa. I must admit, I've never used a body conditioner before! So my first thoughts after using African Paradise were 'I've just cleaned my skin and now it has a coating on it!'. It's a strange feeling I'm not yet used to, but if you can get past the initial 'coating' feeling, the after-effects are worth it. After I dried myself, my skin was super-soft and left feeling nourished and moisturised, completely eradicating the need for a body moisturiser. Also, the fragrance of this one is beautifully exotic.

D'Fluff Strawberry Shaving Soap
My husband had a go with this first and reported it was really great and I wholeheartedly agree. I love the mousse-like, whipped texture and the strawberry fragrance is fruity and fresh. My skin felt smooth and soothed after use, and smelled sweet and lovely. D'Fluff contains fresh strawberries, coconut oil, corn syrup, maple syrup, rosehip oil, cocoa butter and egg whites to create the fluffy, mousse-like texture. The fragrance contains Fair Trade vanilla absolute, sweet wild orange oil and rose absolute. A great product you can share with your partner, if you're feeling generous!

Granny Takes A Dip Bath Bomb
This multi-coloured bath bomb, inspired by the Purple Gang song 'Granny Takes a Trip', is almost too pretty to use! I can't wait to take a relaxing Dip in the bath and take Granny for a spin. She apparently produces psychedelic swirls of foaming pepper, lemon and ginger-scented bath water. With lemon oil to uplift your mood and ginger and pepper to boost circulation, this product sounds like the bomb!

Parsley Porridge Soap
I appreciate a good multi-tasker; this green solid soap can be used both on the face and body. I love that Parsley Porridge is great for oily, acne-prone skin (that's me!). The thyme and tea tree oil is antibacterial and the fine milled porridge oats deep cleanse and lift dead skin cells while the aloe gel revives and cools. This soap gives a low, creamy lather and quite an earthy, herbal scent, which I'm finding addictive. I'll continue using this solely on my face, because I have plenty of pretty-smelling Lush soaps for my body, and it's my facial skin which will most benefit from a pimple-banishing deep cleanse.

Which new release Lush product takes you fancy?
