May - June Beauty Faves!

Hi guys! It's time to tell you about the products I've been loving lately. And for those wondering, yes I do need to blog about my May Movie Challenge (30 Netflix Movies In 30 Days Challenge) so you all know how I did, that's the next post on my agenda! Back to the faves - do you love any of these? Let me know what's currently rocking your world in the comments below, I'd love to know!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Concealer
I've recently rediscovered this in my collection and I'm so glad! I was actually getting it confused with the similarly-named Rimmel Wake Me Up Anti-Fatigue Skin Brightening Concealer (I'm not a fan of it), which is why I neglected this baby. I've been using it under my eyes to cover my dark circles and it's really effective, and actually giving me better results than the Revlon Photoready Colour-Correcting Pen for dark spots. I still have to use my Bobbi Brown Corrector as well, because that's how bad my dark circles are, but it's nothing a solid month of 10-12 hours sleep every night won't fix, hahaaa.

Sportsgirl Pout About It Lipstick in Nurture
I'm forever searching for my Holy Grail nude lipstick, and I think I'm pretty close with this product! Shade-wise I can't fault it, it's exactly what I'm looking for in terms of a my-lips-but-better, flattering for my skin tone shade. Texture wise, I love the creamy formula; it's easy to wear, comfortable on the lips and not at all drying. It wears pretty well too, although you do need to re-apply after eating, as you'd expect with this type of lipstick. Another plus is the magnetic close packaging. I'll definitely be buying a back up of this and expecting it to be discontinued imminently, as with most things I love!

Sally Hansen Color Therapy Nail Polish in Unwine'd*
I am seriously in love with this shade and think it might be my favourite deep red ever. It's sexy and sultry, flattering and suits my skin tone perfectly. It's one of those confidence-boosting shades that just makes you feel incredible when you're wearing it. It looks great in photos and I'll often apply it if I know there will be a close-up on my hand in a shot. Added bonus; it's from the Sally Hansen Color Therapy range, which means it's treating your nails as you wear it. It's a win win! I've blogged about this and more shades in the Sally Hansen Color Therapy range which you can read about here.

Aveda Thickening Tonic
I got this in a BeautyHeaven Beautorium, so it feels like it's free even though I paid postage, haha. I feel like Aveda is a high quality brand, and definitely want to look at the rest of their range. This Thickening Tonic is so great on my fine locks. It really gives me great volume from the roots without that awful crunchy result many supermarket volume boosters will give you. I'm a little bit scared to look at how much this costs for when I need to replace this bottle, because I have a feeling it will cost a pretty penny!

Mario Badescu Anti-Aging Regimen Kit
This Kit contains:
~ Glycolic Foaming Cleanser
~ Glycolic Acid Toner
~ Collagen Moisturizer
~ Super Collagen Mask
~ Glycolic Eye Cream (bonus)

This is a great Kit that has allowed me to trial five products from Mario Badescu's Anti-Aging range. The only one I'm yet to try is the Super Collagen Mask, as I've just been too busy. I'm seriously impressed with the rest of the products though, and the only downfall is that I'm now going to have to buy some full-sized versions! After only about three days I started noticing my skin looking smoother, firmer and more refined. The Toner and Moisturizer are my favourites as they leave my skin glowing and looking bright and healthy. I feel like my skin is way less textured and my complexion overall looks so much better than before. I'm so glad I bought this and as I say, I'll definitely be re-purchasing the full size of at least the toner and moisturizer.

Priceline's 2018 Product Picks + SALE ALERT!

Hi guys! Happy New Year! I've enjoyed an extended break, having returned from my Cruise a few weeks ago. Now school has started for the year, I can get back into blogging, so here we go! First up, I was gifted a generous bundle of products from Priceline recently, and the theme was 'the Priceline PR Team's 2018 Product Picks'. I love this idea, because we are all time poor thesedays, so if a bunch of favourite products are recommended by those in the know, they are sure to be amazing, and well worth trying. Let's take a look!

*********************************
SALE ALERT! Priceline Pharmacy will be holding a massive SALE starting Thursday 31 January with 40 - 50% Off Suncare, Skincare and Tanning! So a lot of the products featured here will be greatly discounted, if anything takes your fancy. I've added in the sales prices below. This sale will end on Saturday 2 February. END SALE ALERT LOL!
*********************************

Gabby recommends: CINCH Face Cheat(er) Moisturising Cream + Glow and SOLINOTES Eau De Parfum.
Perfect for busy gals, the Cinch Face Cheat(er) is the ideal multi-tasker, as it moisturises, primes and refines pores. I love applying a product that can do it all; it cuts down my beauty routine which means more time for sleeping! This feels great and absorbs quickly too! (usually $39.99, now on sale for $23.99)
The SoliNotes perfumes are a revelation! I've recently discovered the Vanilla and Orange Blossom ones which work beautifully together. In this package I received the Rose one, which is absolutely divine (it helps that I'm a sucker for rose scents). This range is designed to either be worn alone or mixed and matched, so you can create your own unique scent. Gabby's faves are Rose, Vanilla and Musk.

Sophie recommends: MINETAN Color Create Foam, Color Create Base Tan Drops and Bronze On Applicator Mitt
Personally I'm not really into fake tanning, but if Sophie loves Minetan, it must be effective, as she's an avid fake tanner! This range features four different shade drops to choose from, so you can customise the clear based tan to your desired look. The soft velvet tanning mitt eliminates messy hands and facilitates a smooth, even, streak-free application. The express tan can be washed off after an hour if you desire or left on longer for a deeper tan. (Color Create Foam usually $29.99 now on sale for $17.99, Color Create Base Tan Drops 4 pk usually $14.99 now on sale for $8.99 and Applicator Mitt usually $7.99 now on sale for $4.79)

Nicolette recommends: ETHIQUE Shampoo and Conditioner Bars and KISS Blooming Lashes (Peony)
I received the Ethique Shampoo Bar in Pinkalicious. Ethique was the world's first zero waste beauty company, which is quite an accolade! This solid shampoo smells like pink grapefruit and vanilla and contains Samoan coconut and cocoa butter. I can't wait to try this!
The Kiss Blooming Lashes are quite unique in that they are multi-layered, so instead of a one-dimensional look, you get volume and va-va-voom! I've tried these babies out and although they are a little heavier than what I'm used to, they look amazing from all angles and are well worth persevering with. My pick: the KISS Lash Couture Strip Lash Adhesive in Black (sold separately) is seriously the best lash glue I've tried, while we're talking Kiss.

Geraldine recommends: THE BASE COLLECTIVE Magnesium Oil and GARNIER Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask with Black Algae
Geraldine loves using The Base Collective Magnesium Oil on her sore muscles after the gym, and I think she's onto something! I've tried spritzing the refreshing spray onto my calf muscles and lower back and I feel like the pain has lessened. Love the stylish packaging too! (Usually $20.99 now on sale for $12.59)
I am so bad at getting around to using my face masks, but this Garnier Pure Charcoal Tissue Mask with Black Algae has me intrigued. It's infused with charcoal and clears the skin by drawing out dirt, oil and impurities, leaving it soft and refreshed. I'm ready for a long overdue Sunday pamper session! (Usually $4.99 now on sale for $2.99)

Top 5 Beauty Faves!

Hi guys! I haven't blogged about my Beauty Faves for a while so I thought I'd let you in on my top five products I've been loving over the past few months. I try not to repeat Faves, so hopefully I haven't written about these ones before. I would love to know your product raves too, so let me know in the comments!

Revlon Photoready Color Correcting Pen 030
I believe this is one of three products in a new range from Revlon. This one corrects dark spots and circles, there's one that corrects dullness (which I also bought to try out in the recent Priceline Big Brand sale) and the third one corrects redness. Interestingly, a lot of the shops I visited only stock the redness and dullness pens and not the dark spot pen, my fave! I apply this product after my eye cream as a first makeup step; the formula is creamy and light and the product blends in perfectly, not caking or emphasizing fine lines. I find it really helps correct my dark under eye circles and would recommend it if you have the same problem. Look out for the half price sales at Priceline and Chemist Warehouse, as there's no need to pay $24 for this!

Maybelline BROWprecise Micro Pencil
I keep on adding steps to my brow routine (I honestly think they are what I spend the longest on!) but this is one product thats really come in handy. I always use the sales to pick up new products to try, and I'm glad I got this super fine pencil. If you're after definition or a little help on the outer edges, this baby is reliable and effective. I only really use it to lightly define along the bottom line of my brows, because I find if I use it along the top as well everything starts looking too unnatural. I'm impressed the pencil hasn't broken off at any point either, because it's really tiny, so I was worried it would happen!

John Plunkett Collagen Eye Lift Firming Eye Cream*
When my BeautyHeaven Beautorium haul arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find a bunch of freebies included with my order, and this was one of them. This eye cream is so good! I started using it and saw immediate firming and lifting results and legit use it every morning now! I love how much this cream improves my under eye area, and if I had to pick one product out of my five faves to insist you try, it would be this one. I will definitely be buying this once my current tube runs out.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Radiant Firming Makeup
This foundation contains broad spectrum SPF 18, caffeine and goji berries. So my all-time favourite foundation was Revlon Colorstay, but this has now taken its place. There are a few different things I love about it, along with the fact that Maybelline just flat out make fantastic foundations, in my opinion. Firstly, the shade 120 Creamy Ivory is probably the best match for my skin I've ever come across. It suits me perfectly and as a result, it just looks so natural. Also, the formula is the perfect consistency, it blends like a dream, stays put all day and provides such a flattering finish, especially if your skin is showing signs of ageing. I love this base!

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme*
The first time I used these I was iffy on them. Cut to recently when I kindly received them in a curated beauty box from Priceline Pharmacy, and now I love them! I'm so glad I gave them another chance. These are exfoliating pads that contain glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids, which basically work to weaken the bonds holding dead skin cells together, unclog congested skin, exfoliate and refine the skins texture. I use these around four nights a week before bed, and my skin has really cleared up and is looking more radiant. I'm getting addicted to their fragrance too! I have a little mini pack of these that I can't wait to take away with me over Christmas!

April Beauty Favourites!

Hi guys! It's been a long, hot minute since I've shared my current beauty favourites with you, hasn't it? Well fear not, because today's post is resplendent with my most-loved products. It's a faves fest. It's literally (not literally) raining wonderful products, so throw away your umbrella and enjoy the downpour!

Revlon Ultra HD Matte LipColor in Seduction
I was lucky enough to win a set of these from Revlon a while back, and I've been meaning to swatch them ever since. It has now become a matter of urgency as I'm getting so much use out of my favourite shade Seduction that it's running low! I naturally made a bee-line for the nudes in the range, and Seduction definitely seduced me! Besides the my-lips-but-better flattering shade, the formula is unexpected for a matte. It actually doesn't fully dry down, so there's no uncomfortable dry feeling. This does appear matte, but it's easy to wear and feels smooth and somewhat creamy on the lips. So if  you're normally put off matte lip products because of that familiar 'dry' feeling, definitely give this range a go!

Antipodes Hosanna H2O Skin Plumping Serum
I'm onto my second mini bottle of this little gem after first discovering it in a Priceline Skincare Gift Bag (with purchase). Happily, they included two bottles, so I haven't needed to purchase the full size version yet. I love using this under my eyes to plump out the area, as sometimes it can appear hollowed out, especially if I'm not getting enough sleep (I'm blaming my March Movie Challenge and Netflix in general for that!). I have considered using this all over my face, but I've got a few other serums I'm also currently using, and besides, I like to get tricky and target specific serums to specific areas of my face, to treat that area's issues! I'll definitely be purchasing this Antipodes miracle-worker (only a slight exaggeration) once I've finished mini bottle #2.

Bio-Oil*
I was sent a bunch of Bio-Oil* products many months ago, and I hadn't got around to singing their praises until now! It's basically a versatile, multi-tasking product that contains PurCellin Oil, which happens to smell ah-mazing. I have been using Bio-Oil liberally on my arms and legs, and this super-fast absorbing oil has been keeping my skin soft, smooth, supple and moisturised throughout the changing seasons. It's a great alternative for someone like me who dislikes rich moisturisers that take forever to sink in, or worse yet, leave a film on the surface of the skin. Bio-Oil is specialist skincare that treats scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, ageing and dehydrated skin and is said to be a favourite for pregnant women wishing to improve the appearance of stretch marks. I love the light, non-greasy formula and the way it makes my skin feel after application.

Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm
As a beauty lover, I own a lot of different lip balms. Tinted, plain, flavoured, scented, stick form, pot form, with shimmer and without... you get the idea. However, when my lips are seriously chapped, dry or peeling, there's one I always reach for; my Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm. Aah that familiar fragrance (which some people are not fond of apparently!). It's like smelling your favourite meal cooking (in a completely non-edible, opposite of food type way). Comfort! And that's exactly what this hardworking baby provides for damaged lips. Comfort, nourishment and moisture. This little tub of goodness heals my lips quicker than anything else I've tried. I would have to say this is my Holy Grail lip balm. It's not the most exciting by any means, but when my pucker is being a right fucker, I'll whack on some Carmex because I know it works.

Skin Physics Advance Superlift Face Treatment Cream
After using this, I'm kicking myself for leaving it unopened in my beauty cupboard for so long. What else have I got in there? This cream is a delight from start to finish. It's a lightweight, luxurious-feeling, easily absorbed formula that feels amazing going on. It sits well under makeup (you do have to wait a few minutes for better results), so you can use it each morning, which is a big plus for me. And the results are excellent! My skin immediately looks plumper, younger, firmer and virtually line-free. It also seems to reduce pores, because when I wear makeup over this, my complexion appears more flawless and 'together' (if that makes sense) than when I wear another moisturiser underneath. If you're at all concerned with sagging skin, pores or fine lines/wrinkles, give this one a go!

March Favourites!

It's time for another round of Beauty Favourites, and I honestly feel like I don't write enough of these posts? Like I'm not going to start posting my favourites weekly (lol) but maybe I should blog them monthly? I do try a lot of things, so there's a vast garden of ripe fruits from which to pluck my juicy picks of the bunch. OK, this is getting weird, let's start!

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lip Velvet in 09
I won this as part of a Bourjois makeup prize in the recent Beauty Crew Birthday Giveaway, and even though I'd heard about these hyped up lip velvets, I'd never actually tried one. It took all of one swipe for me to confirm that the hype is indeed justified. The formula and texture of this liquid matte lip colour are amazing. It is so light and soft on the lips, yet it's full of pigment. So we have high colour payoff combined with an extremely comfortable to wear formula, that glides on effortlessly and has a long-wearing matte finish. Luckily I enjoy the colour I received, but at the same time, I'll definitely be snapping up a few more shades at the Priceline 40% Off Cosmetics Sale (22nd and 23rd of March)!

Amie Petal Perfect Gently Cleansing Micellar Water*
I've been using this nightly to remove my makeup after receiving a duo of Amie skincare to trial, and the more I use it, the more I like it! I love that it's 'naturally kind' skincare, full of naturally-derived plant extracts and completely free from parabens, sulphates, mineral oils and pertrochemicals. It contains rose petal and argan oil extracts and smells so lovely, it's a real pleasure to use. My skin is left clean, soft and refreshed. This is an inexpensive Micellar Water that does a great job, and something I'd happily recommend.

Oh Deer Sugar (Oh) Peachy Keen Shower Moose
I love love love the texture and fragrance of these shower mooses (deliberately misspelt!) by Oh Deer Sugar. You can read my review of the delicious Rose & Passionfruit Shower Moose in my September Favourites post. I honestly thought nothing could compare to that amazing moussey delight, but the peaches and cream product is freaking brilliant. Think soft, whipped, mousse-like, fluffy af goodness that melts into your skin and lathers up luxuriously, whilst filling your nostrils with the gorgeous aroma of fruity peaches and sweet cream. I'm seriously in love and need to try all of the scents available!

Redken Beach Envy Volume Texturizing Shampoo & Conditioner*
It's amazing the difference good quality haircare products can make. I jumped at the chance to try this duo when I got the press release, because I'm always on the look out for volume-creating products for my fine, flat locks. As it stands, I already have quite an array of body builders (not that type!) in my arsenal; from thickening foams, root boost juice and extra volume dry shampoo to volumising spray and thickening treatment serums. And more, lol. But the Redken shampoo and conditioner set impressed me from the get-go, smelling delightful, providing a good lather and leaving my hair soft and healthy-looking. Weirdly, the conditioner is clear, which I don't come across often, but it did an amazing job on my hair, so the colour of it is inconsequential. During trialling, I used all my other products as usual, and only switched my shampoo and conditioner. So I scrunched through my thickening foam and blow-dried whilst scrunching as I usually would, and am pleased to say I did get bouncy waves and volume! I will definitely continue to use these products as I love the results I'm getting.

PuraSonic VIVA
I've been wanting to try a facial cleansing device for quite some time, but there are so many on the market now, it's hard to know which one to get! Well it turns out I didn't have to decide, because I won this little white baby from an Instagram Giveaway. This is so easy to use! It even came already charged up, and I haven't had to recharge it myself yet! I simply dab my cleanser of choice on my face, turn the PuraSonic VIVA on, and it literally does all the work for me. It fits easily into my hand, and it feels so nice when the brush-head is vibrating, giving my skin a much deeper clean than my fingers ever could. I don't know if you're supposed to exfoliate with it as well, but I did (but not for long, and gently!). My skin looked and felt amazing after the first go; it was so smooth and it felt cleaner than it had in ages. This also reduces the size of pores and decreases the appearance of fine lines. I am loving my new cleansing buddy!

Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Palette*
You know when you forget you have something, then re-discover it and are wowwed by it? That's what happened with this gorgeous rose gold palette! I was sent this along with some other Rimmel makeup a while back, and have just recently started using it again. This is in the shade Coral Glow, and I'm deadset reaching for the blush every week day lately! I'm also using the highlighter, but not as frequently as the flattering blush. I really love that you can build the colour up and it blends like a dream. I actually put some contour underneath, blend that out, then put the blush over the top, then blend again. If I can be stuffed have time I'll go in with some highlight on my cheekbones. So glad I've given this multi-tasking palette another go! You can read my original review of it here.

September Favourites!

Hello! We are away on a two week Staycation for the school holidays but have just popped home for the weekend, so I thought I'd type up my September Favourites! I can't blog from where we're staying, so unfortunately replying to comments is taking a while and I'm not getting a chance to comment back on your blogs at the moment. But we are escaping the bathroom renovation work, which means I don't have to wee in front of workmen or put up with loud, annoying drilling (or whatever the hell it is they do) sounds. Can't wait for it to be over and things to return to normal!

Anyhoo, my September Favourites consists of five fabulous products that have been rocking my world on a daily basis (up until the bathroom renovation started anyway!). Let me know if you've tried any of them in the comments. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

It's as good as it looks!

Oh Deer Sugar Rose & Passionfruit Shower Moose
First of all, let's appreciate the clever moose/mousse pun. I thought it was a spelling error until the joke dawned on me! And now for the actual product. This gorgeous, bright pink 'moose' is delightfully fluffy and whipped to perfection. The consistency is amazing, and the lovely fragrance is out of this world. This applies like a dream, leaves my skin soft and clean, and smells of roses and fruit. The rose petals add a special touch of luxury, too. I really can't find a single fault with this product, and y'all need to haul arse to Regent Arcade in Adelaide and check it out. If you don't live in Adelaide, check out the Oh Deer Sugar website, as they deliver Australia-wide, too.

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer
I'm always on the hunt for good concealers, and right now, this is my favourite. I'd previously been using Maybelline Fit Me concealer, which is good, but I was finding the coverage inadequate. The Tarte concealer is versatile and I love that I can use it anywhere on my face. It's great at covering red blemishes around my chin and is amazing over the top of my Bobbi Brown Corrector under my eyes. I hate concealers that settle into fine lines and accentuate them, but this products really lives up to the 'creaseless' title. I apply it with a little brush under my eyes then blend out with a makeup sponge, and I get a really nice, natural-looking finish from it. I only wish there was more product in the tube, as I'm going through it quite quickly! I purchased this in my Sephora Haul on my Melbourne trip.

Pink Rules (300) is the third lipstick from the left

Rimmel Moisture Renew Sheer & Shine Lipstick in Pink Rules (300)*
I've reviewed this range of Rimmel lipsticks here but in terms of favourites, one particular lipstick from the collection stands out; Pink Rules. This is such an easy to wear lipstick. The hydrating formula is just that, hydrating and moisturising, and so comfortable to wear on the lips. The bright pink shade is really pretty, flattering and perfect now that the weather is warming up. I love the stain that this leaves behind. Wearing it blotted down is an easy, effortless look, and one I'm really enjoying lately!

Product at top: Ardell Mechanical Brow Pencil

Ardell Mechanical Brow Pencil
I originally discovered this product when I won a big pack of Ardell products in an Instagram giveaway, and I've been hooked ever since. I don't know if it's the strange triangular design, or if my application has improved, but my brows are looking more natural than when I was using my previous eyebrow pencil. I've been using this, along with some Ardell Pomade (when time permits) and some Benefit Gimme Brow and I'm so much happier with my brows. The triangular pencil design really allows me to vary the line thickness, depending on what look I'm going for. The only problem is actually finding this pencil in-store! I had to visit three Priceline stores to find it. It is available online here but personally I prefer to shop in-store!

Top right: Lush Passion Fruit Lip Balm

Lush Passion Fruit Lip Balm*
I was kindly sent this along with a bunch of other Lush lip balms and tooth products. In terms of the lip balms, my two favourite scents are the Key Lime Pie and Passion Fruit, but this is the one I've been reaching for every night before bed. This has a thin consistency, glides on easily and feels slick on the lips. I love that it makes my lips feel really soft and nourished. I feel like Lush have improved the design of their little metal screw-top tins as well. I remember a few Christmas lip balm releases where the tin was hard to open and never really closed properly, but no such issues with this collection. Passion Fruit appears orange in the tin. It has a slight shimmer with tiny sparkly particles and once applied imparts an ever-so-subtle orange tint. I absolutely adore the fruity fragrance of this product!

April Favourites!

Time to talk about the products I absolutely loved in April! These are the special beauty finds I've been reaching for frequently, because I'm downright enamoured with them and the results they produce. Here we go!

Soap & Glory The Breakfast Scrub
This gives the Natura Siberica Oblepikha and Honey Body Scrub, raved about here, a run for its money in the body scrub stakes, and may have just reached Holy Grail status, along with the aforementioned NS one. I picked this up in Mecca Maxima on my Sydney trip (see the massive Beauty Haul here). It was a Staff Favourite, and it's not hard to see why. The Breakfast Scrub is the perfect consistency. It's thick, so when you grab a handful it ain't slipping off and wasting down the drain. The formula is just right if you're into super-scrubby exfoliators and the smell.... oh my! One word: PANCAKES! This has oat, shea butter, sugar, bananas, almond and honey extracts and a maple scent that has to be smelled to be believed. Highly recommended!

Bioderma Sensibio H2O*
Up until about a month ago, my go-to had been the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (in the pink bottle). And I thought it was pretty good. Then I was sent this, and honestly Bioderma blows it out of the water! I'd avoided this one because it was dearer, but my gosh is it gentle and super effective. My skin is left soft, clean and feeling comfortable. There's no drying and no need to wipe firmly, as Sensibio H2O is just so good at what it does. I love how this feels; it's a pleasure to use and I can't really see myself going back to the Garnier one after this sample bottle runs out. Recommended!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
I don't own too many high end palettes, so it was quite a treat for me to pick this up! I was tossing up between the original, Semi-Sweet and Bon Bons Too Faced palettes, but I'm so happy I decided on this one. This is honestly so wearable on a day-to-day basis and the shades are really pigmented. I don't know why I hesitated dropping $78, because it's worth every cent and I'm getting a lot of use out of it. Also, it smells like chocolate. Winning!

Skin Doctors Beetox
I bought this on sale at Priceline, and I pretty much use it every morning now! Beetox is an anti-ageing bee venom treatment with manuka honey that works to firm, tighten, lift and plump out your skin, making it appear fuller and more youthful. I'd already had great success with other Skin Doctors products, Eyetuck being my favourite, followed by Instant Eyelift and Eyecircle, so I was keen to give this a go. It says to avoid the eye area, however that's where I start applying this (carefully and not too close to the actual eyes!) as under my eyes is the only place I have fine lines. Also, depending on Christ knows what, this area can appear hollow from time to time, and I've found Beetox has really helped to eradicate this annoying problem by plumping it out, giving me a 'normal' instead of 'fresh corpse' look. This product claims to triple the formation of collagen in 7 days and increase cell renewal by 80% in 15 days. I'm not sure if that's accurate, but it's working for me so I'll continue to buy it. Side note: this smells really nice, too!

Natralus Natural Paw Paw Lip Butter*
I was kindly gifted a handful of Natralus Lip Butters at the Bloggers United Adelaide Event, and I'm really glad, because they are quite a find! These are made with organic Australian papaya, contain shea butter and vitamin E and just as importantly, absolutely no parabens or petrochemicals! I've worked my way through the Honey & Vanilla one and now that I've started on the Strawberry, my eight year old son has declared it his new favourite (seyanora Smiggle watermelon lip balm!). I love applying this nourishing formula before bed so I wake up with soft, smooth lips in the morning, and I know I'll be throwing one in my travel bag for my trip interstate next month. Can't wait to give the Coconut lip butter a go, too!

Maybelline Master Graphic Eyeliner
I'm already a huge fan of Maybelline Masterliner (it's my everyday eyeliner), however a drawback is that the rounded tip is not designed for creating on point wings. Cue my magnificent idea to pick up this baby. This looks like a felt tip/magic marker  type pen and has a slanted, pointy end perfect for adding cat's eye flicks to the ends of my top eyeliner! If you have trouble drawing on your wings, I'd highly recommend giving the liquid Master Graphic Eyeliner a go, because it turns a potentially tricky process into a piece of cake. I've cut my eye makeup application time down by a third since incorporating this into my routine, because as soon as I learnt my desired angle, my flicks went on quickly and easily and stayed put throughout the day!

Davroe Volume Senses Shampoo* and Conditioner*
Like the lip butters, I generously received a set of Davroe hair care products at the Bloggers United Adelaide Event. Having such fine (hey, girlfriend!) locks, I made a beeline straight for the volumising products. I've been using the Volume Shampoo (which I've just finished) together with the Volume Conditioner and the results are healthy-looking, soft hair that still has body. I've used so many volume shampoos and conditioners over the years, and although they give my hair volume, they also often strip my hair or leave it squeaky clean, with the intention of creating some grip, like when you spray dry shampoo into your roots and rub it around. This does create volume but it's not very good for your hair. Anyhoo, with these Davroe products, my hair actually looks fuller, but also soft, healthy and swishy. I love this brand, and am keen to try out the rest of the range.

Lush Ayesha Fresh Face Mask
Oh my. I said on Instagram this stinks like a mofo and I wasn't kidding! I guess if I liked the main ingredient, asparagus, I might feel differently. But the thing is, this mask really lifts and firms my skin. You know it must be good if it's in my favourites even though it pongs! I was so surprised after my first use, and now I use this before any event or night out where I want to feel extra confident, because the firming effect makes me appear years younger. My all-time favourite Lush mask (so far!).

Product Rave: Natura Siberica Oblepikha And Honey Body Scrub!

I can't believe I took so long to board the Natura Siberica train. This is the first product I've tried from the cult brand, and to say I'm blown away would be understating it. This Oblepikha And Honey Body Scrub is the bee's knees. Ha! (see what I did there?). I didn't have the faintest idea what 'Oblepikha' was before reading the label, but I really didn't care. I was on a mission to make this baby mine, and that I did.

"Altai Oblepikha is a famous Siberian berry (also knows as sea-buckthorn) which has been used by Siberian locals for centuries to strengthen their hair, revitalize skin and even to heal wounds. Not surprisingly, since this small berry is the richest natural source of beta-carotene and is full of rare Omega 3, 6, 7, 9 acids moreover,  it also has up to 22 other fatty acids as well as 36 kinds of flavonoids to preserve natural beauty and health of your hair and skin."

The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous packaging. The blue theme with the eye-catching label design is just so pretty! This is definitely a product you can proudly display in the bathroom. Then, when I opened the lid, I was hit by the amazing scent. Holy S H I T B A L L S. I'm hopeless at describing scents, so I'll start with amazing, delicious, beautiful and happiness-inducing. To me, it smells like a fruit smoothie, or orange and mango juice. It's strong, but just delightful!

The texture is interesting! It's a thick formula, and quite sticky, which is perfect for getting it onto the body without dropping it, and you get extended scrubbing time, prolonging the pampering experience. At first, when I saw the orange-coloured formula, I was worried there weren't enough grainy bits because the little black dots are few and far between. However, there are tons of tiny gritty bits hiding in the mix, giving an extremely satisfying exfoliation. This scrub leaves my skin so soft and smooth and it's such a pleasure to use. I absolutely love it!

The only negative I can find is the container design. It's so large I find it difficult getting my hands around the width, so opening and closing it especially when it's slippery from the shower, is a bit of a pain. Then add in the gritty bits getting stuck in the screw-top section, and it makes it even harder. I've found if I have a damp face-washer in each hand and use that to open and close the container it cuts down on most of the difficulty. It also helps to give the screw-top parts a wipe down if you're really struggling with the lid. Thank Christ, because this is one product I want to use every day. I hope I don't scrub all my skin off!

This product is an Allure Best Of Beauty Award Winner and a Nature & Health Winner in the 2016 Natural Beauty Awards. It doesn't contain any parabens or SLS/SLES.

You can buy this for $20 from the Natura Siberica website, but I'd head to Chemist Warehouse where it's only $15!

January Beauty Favourites

It's exciting when you find products that you fall in love with! Some of these lovelies I reach for every morning, so I really wanted to share my thoughts with you. All these products were bought whilst they were on special, because I have kickarse shopping skillz.

First up is the Bumble & Bumble Thickening Hairspray which I added to cart during the recent online Mecca sale. It's a super cute 50ml spray bottle, which is the perfect size for trying out an unfamiliar brand. I spray this into my damp roots after a hair-wash and scrunch it through whilst blowdrying. I'm happy to report it gives me a good amount of non-crunchy volume and I kind of wish I had a bigger bottle, because I'll be sad when I run out. A great find purchased during this Mecca Haul if you're interested!

My original photo, when the Max Factor Shimmer was brand spanking new.
How much I've used! And it's still soft and creamy.

Next, the Max Factor Excess Shimmer Cream Eyeshadow in Copper (see photos above). Oh My God. I love this. I've had some bad experiences with cream shadows drying out really fast (I'm talking about you, Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo) but this little baby is very creamy, soft, highly blendable and smooth, with not even a hint of the formula hardening up. I've been using this pretty shimmer cream as a base over my lids every day, because it's flattering and super easy to apply. I then work a darker shade into the crease and outer edges. I really should pick this up in some other colours, because I love it that much. I got this during the Priceline 40% Off Cosmetics Sale.

The reason Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in Pink Tank made my faves is predominantly because of the shade. I adore this gorgeous colour; it makes me think of watermelon for some reason! I've been sent some Sally Hansen Miracle Gel to trial before, but this is a bottle I picked up myself whilst going bonkers at the Chemist Warehouse 50% Off Makeup Sale. These are great quality gel polishes that wear well and have a shiny finish, so when they get marked down, I can't resist buying a few different shades. So pretty!

Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop in Berry Bomb

With the Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop (pictured above), I already had the shade Pink Shock, but read a few reviews where people raved about the scary-looking Berry Bomb, so I had to get it! It's a deceptive little balm, because despite looking dark purple in the bullet, it doesn't apply as solid colour, instead giving a sheer hint-of-colour finish. It's very nourishing, moisturising and super fun! I use it every day to moisturise my lips at the start of my makeup routine, then blot it off near the end to apply my chosen lippie. I also wear it around the house on weekends as it's perfect for those no-fuss, minimal makeup days!

My original photo, when this gorgeous blush was brand new and untouched.

Lastly, the oh-so-pretty Happy Booster blush from Physicians Formula in Rose. Here goes with the full name (it's a mouthful): Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush (pictured above). Look at all those love hearts! I've been using this every single day. I love that it's nearly impossible to apply too much (which I have been known to be guilty of), since it has a subtle effect that can be gradually built up. And I love swirling my blush brush over the different shades of pink before sweeping it across my cheeks. And I love that it's flattering. This is indeed a Happy blush that Boosts my Mood!

I'm adding this post to the Fabulous And Fun Life Monday Makeup Madness Linky Party!
