Welcome to the first day of Spring! Also, a pinch and a punch for the first day of the month. No returns. Time to revisit my August Goals and let you know how I went.
- Clear out the entire Linenpress, ready for the Builder ~ NO (but now he doesn't need access through the Linenpress until after he's re-tiled the shower, so it's less of a priority)
- Go to bed by 11pm Sunday to Thursday nights! ~ NO (sometimes, but not more than half the time)
- Buy new jeans and long-sleeved tops ~ NO (this is long overdue)
First-time watch five movies~ YES! 1. Trainwreck 2. Ant-Man 3. John Dies At The End 4. Jack The Giant Slayer 5. Big Hero 6Cook five new dishes from recipes~ YES! 1. Low Carb Cashew Chicken 2. Sausage and Baby Spinach Pasta 3. Shepherd's Pie with Sweet Potato 4. Baked Potatoes with Bacon, Chives and Tasty Cheese (pictured above) 5. Orange Chicken with Mint and CorianderFind a cat (or any animal that's safe to pat) and pat it!~ YES! Patted a dog on 10th of August!- Walk 5000 FitBit steps every weekday ~ NO (only maybe 30% of the time did I achieve this)
- Cut and colour my hair ~ NO
Compile recipe printouts and cutouts into a folder~ YES! Hooray!- Clear and clean my desk ~ NO
You'll be glad to know I did all the fun things and pretty much avoided all the un-fun stuff! I planned on clearing my desk on the last day of August, but to be honest, I just would've moved everything from my desk to somewhere else, so I'll leave it 'til I have time to actually clean, clear and throw some stuff out. If you want to see more photos of the dishes I cooked, check out Wordless Wednesday: Cooking Up A Storm!
TOTAL - 4/10
I'm going to be very busy this month (if you missed all the shit that's going down, check out A Quick Update!) so I'm not setting any goals for September. I just want to still have my sanity come October 1.
Don't miss a post!

Are you achieving your goals lately?
How was trainwreck?? I'm interested in seeing it!?
ReplyDeleteAt least you got some checked off! :)
Haha, yes! I loved Trainwreck. It's quite long but I didn't check the time once because I was so engrossed!
DeleteI was shopping today and it seems long sleeved tops where on clearance at quite a few places if your still interested?! lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for that! I'll try to get to the shops then, I love a good sale! :)
DeleteI watched ant man, train wreck and jack the slayer recently (I didn't really like tranwreck and didn't find it particularly funny though..)... I also watched welcome to me (with Kristen wig - not bad, quite a serious movie), project almanc (OK), fantastic 4 (meh), kingsman secret service (meh).. I watched 15 minutes of "Focus" and couldn't stomach it. Next on my list is pixels (even though it looks awful - I am a big old school gamer) and probably... paper towns... maybe....any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteWelcome To Me with Kristin Wiig is on my Watch List (it's coming to Netflix this month I think?). I've also seen Project Almanac (not bad, I thought) and loved Kingsman. Pixels is meant to be really bad but I think my son would like it as he's so into games. These are old but I love and highly recommend Pulp Fiction, Moulin Rouge, High Fidelity and The Big Hit. Try Punch Drunk Love for an Adam Sandler film that doesn't suck! :)
DeleteI can't remember the last movie I saw! I really need to start watching some more again.
ReplyDeleteWell done in ticking 4 of your goals off!
Thanks Ingrid! Do you have a heap of DVDs to get through like me? I love watching a few movies on the weekends :)
DeleteGreat job on getting the fun stuff done lol!!!! I need to look at movies again maybe go to the theater I havent been in so long! Those recipes look soooo good!!!! Enjoy september!

Thanks Jasmine! Yeah we don't get to the cinema that often either, so it's extra special when we find the time to go!

I loved Trainwreck. It's not everyone's cup of tea, though! xx
DeleteYou made my mouth water with a picture of those baked potatoes. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteHave a great September. Visiting you from Sanch Vee's 'The Month That Was'.
Hi Corinne, thanks for visiting! Happy September to you, too! :)
DeleteLove your goals, you may not have achieved them all but they show great balance and 5 new recipes wow!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah, I try to balance them between work-type and fun-type ones, even if I just do the fun goals! :)
DeleteI find I can never get through my to-do list. I'm lost if I don't have a list though. haha. Bron x
