I was Sample Savvy in September!
Or 'I Was A September Sample Slut', whichever you prefer :) Samples are a great way to try a product before forking out for the full-size version. Somehow, I have built up quite a collection. I've been planning for some time to start ploughing through these sample sachets, but September is my busiest month, so I didn't finish as many as I would have liked. I still have a box full of sachets, so expect more empties in the future.
Break it dooooooooown .......
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks
Lovely chocolate-smelling lotion packed with Vitamin E, Collagen, Elastin and Shea Butter.
Dermalogica Clean Start Ready, Set, Scrub!
Quite enjoyed this scrub that claims to refine pores and fight breakouts. Great for teens.
Dermalogica Clean Start Welcome Matte spf15
This moisturiser really made a noticeable difference. Contains oil controllers. Very effective at minimising the shiny face I normally get after a few hours of makeup application.
Dermalogica Clean Start Bedtime for Breakouts
Didn't like the sticky formula so just used it on my chest instead of face. Wouldn't rave about.
Nivea Visage Young Daily Deep Cleansing Wash Scrub
More wash than scrub, doesn't contain enough scrubbing beads for my liking.
Dove Beauty Cream Bar
Cutest little mini soap bar ever! Feels luxurious, cleans effectively. Love!
Franc Essential Body Melt
Lovely, nourishing, moisturising cream for the body. Quite enjoyed this.
Biore Detoxify Daily Scrub
Didn't like the consistency of this oil-free scrub. Smells bad, too.
Nivea Expert Lift Day Cream
Satisfactory day cream, nothing mind-blowing. Would not purchase.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream
Pleasant, light moisturiser. Feels great, leaves skin soft and supple.
Biore Pore Perfect Nose Strip
Fun to use. Easy to follow directions on back of sachet.
Head And Shoulders Ant-Dandruff Shampoo
Actually really impressed with the results. Hair looked good. Would buy this.
Formula 10.0.6 Down To The Pore Blackhead Banishing Pore Strips
Contains Tea Tree and Kaolin. Again, fun to use and good directions on back.

March Empties
Batiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical
Adore it! Great for refreshing your hair between washes and adding volume to your locks. I've blogged about this before, most notably here
Garnier Pure Active Blackhead Clearing Scrub
I've gone off this scrub a little bit since starting with Soap & Glory's Scrub Your Nose In It, but I still enjoy it and its strong stench! You can read my previous post on this product here
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
Love this! It's just an all round great product and I'm sad I've finished it. Luckily, I also won a travel-sized version from a Facebook competition, so I'll now be starting on that. Here is my review of this gentle Microfoliant.
Nivea Invisible 48 Hour Anti-Perspirant
Honestly, I can't distinguish between all the deodorants/anti-perspirants I'm using lately. All I know is that since joining the gym, I am going through A LOT of deodorant!
Garnier Invisi Mineral 48 Hour Deodorant
See above. I think they forgot the rest of the word. Invisi??
Schwarzkopf EC Push Up Volume Shampoo
I quite liked this volume shampoo from Schwarzkopf, and as you all probably know by now, I will try anything to get some body into my hair. To be honest, though, the results were OK, but not mind-blowing. I'm actually preferring the Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly products I've moved on to.
Dove Beauty Cream Bar
This is a pampering soap, that feels luxurious and lathers really well. It's very moisturising, and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. I think the Dove Gentle Exfoliating Beauty Cream Bar is better, but I'm biased because of my addiction to exfoliating products.
What did you finish in March?

September Empties
Another month, another load of empties. I actually really enjoy blogging my empties, because it forces me to use up my products so I've got something to blog about! Today, I started organising all my unused prodz into categories so I can store them better and I am SHOCKED at how much shit I have!
L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss Conditioning Colour in 910 Light Iced Blonde
This was a hassle to use, compared to the home colours I've used in the past. There's a perforated bit where you pop the cardboard box out and you are supposed to stand the container up in it to mix the other stuff in. Sorry I'm being to vague, I've thrown the instructions out and I don't know the names to refer to! Also, after I broke the top off the bottle and squeezed some out, it came out crooked and went near my eye. Not good! I think I just had a bad day with this colour, because I've used a lot of different brands and types in the past and this has never happened before. The result wasn't too bad, not brilliant though, and I do have to use blonde toner or my hair looks a bit orangey. I will be looking to purchase a completely different colour in the future.
Dove Gentle Exfoliating Beauty Cream Bar
Love this soap and have blogged about it previously here
Toni & Guy Volume Conditioner
I wasn't a massive fan of this conditioner. It didn't really seem to make my hair fuller or more volumous. It does take a lot to get body into my fine hair, though.
Clinique Liquid Facial Soap
I quite enjoyed this mild cleanser from Clinique. It was very gentle and did the job although it's definitely not the best facial soap I've ever used.
Guinot Gommage Grain D'Eclat (Gentle Face Exfoliating Cream)
I was so disappointed with this exfoliator! It had an unpleasant aroma, minimal exfoliating particles and left a horrible, grimy residue on my face after I'd washed it off. If I'm to compare fancy French brands, my Payot stuff is winning hands down!
Schwarzkopf Extra Care Liquid Silk Shampoo, Conditioner & SOS Repair Treatment
These mini-sized products were from a travel kit I won and they were just lovely. They almost smelled of fairy floss or coconut ice. I enjoyed the silky smooth results I achieved from these products. They conditioned my hair well, and left it shiny and soft. I'd definitely purchase these with my own money in the future.
** L'Oreal, Dove, and Toni & Guy were purchased by me, Clinique, Guinot and Schwarzkopf I won.

Dove Foaming Make Up Remover
rrp $10.99
**I was provided this product for consideration. This review is my honest opinion.
Dove says: "Works effectively removing even the heaviest make up, including waterproof mascara, eye make up and foundation".
I've been using this unique make up remover for a few weeks and it's really growing on me. It's so different from the usual oil or cream based removers, because this one is foam. The instructions say to dispense 3 pumps of the lather onto your hand and apply to your wet or dry face including eye area to remove makeup. It's a pretty yellow liquid in the bottle, which transforms into a white foam when you pump it. I was worried about rubbing this foam into my eyes when I first received it, as it just doesn't seem right, but I put this fear aside and tried it, with a tissue very close at hand! The remover does work really well, as my foundation and concealer dissolve into nothingness very quickly after a short time massaging it into my cheeks. It takes a bit longer with eye make up, but when I gently massage the foam on my eye area, everything does dissolve away quite effectively.
My biggest tip with this Dove Remover is to have a tissue on hand to rub the foam and make up off your eye area as soon as it has dissolved. I haven't had the displeasure of this stuff getting in my eyes, so I don't know how much it would hurt, but it is better to prevent this than to find out! Also, in my opinion, this is not the kind of Make Up Remover that you can use then just apply your moisturiser straight after. It leaves your face with a residue that needs a lot of rinsing, so this product is best used in the shower so you can rinse your face thoroughly straight after. I actually like to see what I'm doing with it though, so I have the shower running and ready for me to get in, use the Dove Foaming Make Up Remover in front of the mirror, then hop straight in and rub my face under running water until all the foam and remaining residue have disappeared.
Having said that, it is a unique and fun Make Up Remover, and I am enjoying it. It's quite good value for money, and it's good that the bottle is clear, so you can see exactly how much of the product is left. I would definately consider buying this after my current bottle runs out.
