Top 5 Beauty Faves!

Hi guys! I haven't blogged about my Beauty Faves for a while so I thought I'd let you in on my top five products I've been loving over the past few months. I try not to repeat Faves, so hopefully I haven't written about these ones before. I would love to know your product raves too, so let me know in the comments!

Revlon Photoready Color Correcting Pen 030
I believe this is one of three products in a new range from Revlon. This one corrects dark spots and circles, there's one that corrects dullness (which I also bought to try out in the recent Priceline Big Brand sale) and the third one corrects redness. Interestingly, a lot of the shops I visited only stock the redness and dullness pens and not the dark spot pen, my fave! I apply this product after my eye cream as a first makeup step; the formula is creamy and light and the product blends in perfectly, not caking or emphasizing fine lines. I find it really helps correct my dark under eye circles and would recommend it if you have the same problem. Look out for the half price sales at Priceline and Chemist Warehouse, as there's no need to pay $24 for this!

Maybelline BROWprecise Micro Pencil
I keep on adding steps to my brow routine (I honestly think they are what I spend the longest on!) but this is one product thats really come in handy. I always use the sales to pick up new products to try, and I'm glad I got this super fine pencil. If you're after definition or a little help on the outer edges, this baby is reliable and effective. I only really use it to lightly define along the bottom line of my brows, because I find if I use it along the top as well everything starts looking too unnatural. I'm impressed the pencil hasn't broken off at any point either, because it's really tiny, so I was worried it would happen!

John Plunkett Collagen Eye Lift Firming Eye Cream*
When my BeautyHeaven Beautorium haul arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find a bunch of freebies included with my order, and this was one of them. This eye cream is so good! I started using it and saw immediate firming and lifting results and legit use it every morning now! I love how much this cream improves my under eye area, and if I had to pick one product out of my five faves to insist you try, it would be this one. I will definitely be buying this once my current tube runs out.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Radiant Firming Makeup
This foundation contains broad spectrum SPF 18, caffeine and goji berries. So my all-time favourite foundation was Revlon Colorstay, but this has now taken its place. There are a few different things I love about it, along with the fact that Maybelline just flat out make fantastic foundations, in my opinion. Firstly, the shade 120 Creamy Ivory is probably the best match for my skin I've ever come across. It suits me perfectly and as a result, it just looks so natural. Also, the formula is the perfect consistency, it blends like a dream, stays put all day and provides such a flattering finish, especially if your skin is showing signs of ageing. I love this base!

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme*
The first time I used these I was iffy on them. Cut to recently when I kindly received them in a curated beauty box from Priceline Pharmacy, and now I love them! I'm so glad I gave them another chance. These are exfoliating pads that contain glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids, which basically work to weaken the bonds holding dead skin cells together, unclog congested skin, exfoliate and refine the skins texture. I use these around four nights a week before bed, and my skin has really cleared up and is looking more radiant. I'm getting addicted to their fragrance too! I have a little mini pack of these that I can't wait to take away with me over Christmas!

  1. I am pretty boring with my make up! I have my favourites and tend to stick to them never really trying anything else. I would like to try the Revlon Colour Correcting pen you mention though because I think that the similar product that I use could most definitely be improved on! #TeamLovinLife

  4. I like the idea of the eye cream as my eyes feel like they've got huge bags underneath (and they look like it too) plus I've got wrinkles between and outside of them!

I don't spend enough time on my brows and have only recently realised the importance / difference good eyebrows can make! #teamlovinlife

  11. Loving the MUD (Woolies) blush, translucent powder and CC cream I am using. Fan-freaking-tastic stuff. And cheap as chips!

Also the Aldi olive oil & green tea scrub and my Revlon Kiss Balm in - something to do with Berries. The coconut one is fab too, but the berry gives a hint of colour.

    2. I am actually super impressed with the CC cream - the only time I have had transfer was my own stupid fault, I put on a high-neck (collar is cheek grazing) cream jacket less than 5 minutes after I did my face. Thankfully it cleaned up with a baby wipe (my makeup removal tool). Lasting power is incredible - I have put it on at 3 a.m. and not touched it til after 6 p.m. and while I look tired, it has stayed put; no patchiness or fade (a common issue I have) and the colour stayed true.

    3. Wow that sounds amazing! That's some impressive lasting power right there!

  12. Thanks for sharing. Since my cheeks have become less sore (from this inside, but it hurt to touch them) I have been using Kirsten's Skin Boss Oils and over that a BB cream or a foundation. Add a lip stick to the bottom lip and try to get the top one doen too. and that's me. I am attending a Look Good Feel Better workshop that is free for cancer patients in 2 weeks and I will be interested in what they 'do to me'. LOL.

Thanks for linking up for Life This Week. Next week's optional prompt is What I Have Learned Lately. 15/10/18. Denyse.

  13. I've heard such good things about those Nip&Fab pads but have never used them as I'm a bit unsure if they would be too much for my sensitive skin! I tend to keep things simple at the moment with products after a bit of a flare up of my eczema!

Hope that you are having a wonderful week so far :)

    1. Yes they may not be great on sensitive skin- you could try once or twice a week to start with if you're keen to try them though. I hope your eczema improves :)
