Ruby Red Winter Manicure!

After winning this cute-as-heck MUM-UR-FABY-LOUS nail lacquer gift set from a Temporary Princess Instagram Giveaway, I just couldn't wait to try out the stunning deep red shade, Promise On The Bridge Of Sighs. What an interesting shade name, right? Bridge Of Spies is a Tom Hanks movie, so I don't know if it's a play on that? Anyhoo, lets talk about this gorgeous shade.

Promise On The Bridge Of Sighs is a sexy ruby red with a slight shimmer, that's rich and perfect for Autumn and Winter. This reminds me of a fine glass of red wine; I just want to watch movies with hubby next to a cozy fireplace with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and a gourmet cheeseboard. I don't actually have a fireplace, but let a bitch dream. Haha.

This is two coats of Promise On The Bridge Of Sighs, followed by one of the Faby Top Coat.

  15. Gorgeous colour Di! I've got a similar shade/dupe from Butter London that I've popped into the next edition of my Project Polish series - I feel like Jessica Rabbit when I wear it. These shades are great for us pale lasses!

  16. This shade has a beautiful shine to it. I have a navy shade from this range which I got yesterday which I can't wait to try out. This shade reminds me of Christmas and also rock candy, the red is exactly the same in appearance as the red lolly! So pretty! <3

  22. The Bridge of Sighs in Venice links the Doge's Palace with the prison ... so called because prisoners sighed as they were taken across as it was likely they would never be outside again. So maybe the name comes from the blood colour? Sorry, bit gruesome! Love a good red in wine and nail polish LOL. Just wish I had the nails to show it off myself :-(
