Last Saturday, we took Mr 8 to his first ever Credit Union Christmas Pageant. He's never expressed a desire to go before, and he still didn't this year, but I wanted him to experience it at least once. We stayed at the Mantra Hindmarsh Square Friday and Saturday nights, the perfect location as it was right along the Pageant route. I looked out of our hotel window at 5:48am Saturday morning and there were already people filling up the front row! Hardcore! We got down there about 7:30am and still managed to score a good position. I thought waiting two hours for the festivities to begin would suck, but Zach loved drawing on the road with chalk (an annual tradition, apparently), there was a park to play in a few steps away and anytime we needed to do a wee, the hotel room was one minute away!
Don't miss a post!

Thanks for linking up.
Humphrey's float broke down in front of our section and he had to get out and walk the rest of the way! So funny :D

ReplyDeletePam xo/ Pam Scalfi♥
Yes, he loved it! x
DeleteLooks like so much fun! Wish we had such exciting events in our quiet, boring country town lol
ReplyDeleteIt was fun! Very packed, though. At least you don't have as many people in the country! :)
DeleteSo much fun. Last time we went to a Christmas pageant was when the kids were young. I took them on my own because their Dad was too busy playing World of Warcraft. We still had a great time though. There should be more of these events. Except for poor Humphrey losing his head!
ReplyDeleteHaha, yeah poor Humphrey! Most people there would have been too young to know who he was, I reckon!
DeleteWe watched on from Queensland as it was on GEM. Looks like loads of fun.
ReplyDeleteIt was a magical day, Karin. So glad we went!
