March Movie Challenge: UPDATE

For those of you keenly following my March Movie Challenge (lol), I just wanted to update you. I've decided to put this bitch on hold for at least a few weeks, or until I can muster up the energy/motivation to watch the remaining films. I'm actually sick of watching movies right now, and need a break. I think I've done pretty well, getting 25 of the 31 DVDs/Blurays watched.

I've been putting off seeing the long movies, so I'm now left with:

THE BOAT THAT ROCKED- 130 minutes
WALK THE LINE - 130 minutes
THE TREE OF LIFE - 132 minutes
I'M NOT THERE - 135 minutes
ZERO DARK THIRTY - 1 hundred and fucking 57 minutes, and
THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER (not long, just my son would rather watch Ben And Holly's Little Kingdom than this, so I've been waiting for him to acquiesce).

If you're interested in my reviews of the films I've seen, you can check out Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 and Week 4 at the links.

Highlights for me, were Behind The Candelabra, My Little Eye and Inglourious Basterds. My lowlights were The Killer Inside Me, To The Wonder, Snowtown and The Girlfriend Experience.

I hope to get the remaining movies watched at some stage, just not right now. For the sake of my fast-withering sanity.

  1. I loved The Boat that Rocked - feel good movie with awesome music. I need to watch the Liberace one now! :)

  2. This looks like a really cool challenge. I haven't watched the ones you haven't watched either so I have no idea if they are worth their viewing time! I really should do something like this but with the classics.

  3. The Boat that Rocked did indeed rock, as did Walk the Line. I am not a Brad Pitt fan so I won't be rushing out for Tree of Life (i have also heard it is pretty heavy content). Look forward to the next reviews xx

  4. 25 movies in a month - WOW! No wonder you need a break.
    I'm lucky to watch one.
Congratulations on winning this many dvds. Love your blog.
