Typo Haul!

A while back I was lucky enough to win a $250 Cotton On gift card from an Instagram giveaway, and I've been having a ball redeeming it ever since! I actually haven't used any of it in Cotton On stores, because the gift card is also valid in Typo stores. Yes! I'm a huge stationery addict, so it's exciting to be let loose in a Typo store with a shit-ton of free money, so to speak! Around the time of my Birthday, I thought I'd treat myself, because why the hell not? I was thrilled to see so many items on sale, which just made my haul all the sweeter. Here's everything I got (and I still have $100 left on my gift card to spend!).....

DIY Album Kit
Photo Journal
Rose Gold Glitter A5 Buffalo Journal
Rose Gold Speckled A5 Buffalo Journal
Aqua Speckled A5 Buffalo Journal
What The Fluff? A5 Spinout Notebook
Black Blush A5 Spinout Notebook
Batman A5 Spinout Notebook  (not pictured)
Purple Palms iPhone 6S Cover
Light Me Up Pen

I am so addicted to the A5 Spinout notebooks! I have about ten of them and write in them every day. I try to keep them themed, as in one for blog writing, one for my To Do lists, etc, but sometimes I write in the wrong book, and then can't keep track of where my notes are, and have to look through a lot of notebooks to find them!

* I'm sorry for the ugly grey watermark-like circles in the middle of my photos! It's never happened to me before, and some Googling reveals it's a known issue that Google Blogger are working on. Hope they fix it soon!

A Beauty-Full Haul!

I'll preface this by saying I don't go into the city much. So when I take the hour long bus ride into town (on a school day, no less!), I make the most of it. This includes writing a huge list of everything I want to buy, where to get it and even the order in which to shop! Yes, I maximize my shopping time by prioritizing and putting everything in the most efficient order, so I'm not doubling back. I only had two hours to get all this plus buy my husband a Valentine's Day gift, as I was meeting him for lunch, then needed to be on the return bus so I could pick up my son from school. I'm happy with everything I got, although I would have liked to get a new perfume in the Priceline 'up to 60% off fragrances' sale, but I didn't like anything I sniffed!

I'd been wanting to try something from Natura Siberica ever since reading about the brand on beauty blogs and I'm fresh out of body scrub, so the Natura Siberica Oblepikha And Honey Body Scrub was a no-brainer. Look at that pretty packaging! I've had a sniff and it smells amazing, too! Plus I wanted a new mascara, and Maybelline Masterliner is my everyday eyeliner, so I was pretty thrilled to find this Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Leather Black Mascara with bonus Masterliner Cream Pencil pack! This little haul was from Chemist Warehouse.

I had two Priceline Sister Club discount vouchers to use (yay!) so bought a pack of Schwarzkopf Blonde Ultime in Xtra Light Cool Blonde (marked down to $8.00) and Schwarzkopf Nordic Blonde Toner. I still hadn't reached my voucher value so added a couple of lippies, Essence lipstick in 01 Coral Calling and Savvy by DB lipstick in Guava. With my two vouchers, everything came to $4.70 YES!

I visited The Body Shop with the purpose of smelling their Italian Summer Fig scent (quite nice!) and getting a Born Lippy in Strawberry. I used to wear this every day at school when I was a teenager. Major nostalgia hit! I still love it. I looked in their sale section (of course) and found the strange but alluring Colour Crush Lipstick in 301 Drive Me Nuts. It's a brown shimmer and will be hit or miss (can't wait to try it) but at only $4.95, down from $21.95, I had to take the chance! ~ Edit~ it looks great blotted down on the lips and I even like it blended on the outer edges of my lids as an eyeshadow!

I was so excited to finally check out Oh Deer Sugar in Regent Arcade! It's very similar to Lush, but all the products are vegan and handmade in my hometown, little ol' Adelaide. After sniffing nearly everything I couldn't pass up the Fruit Tingle Body Scrub. I got a little piece of gingerbread bubble bar as a free sample, too!

Being the stationery addict I am, I had to get another three Typo A5 Spinout Notebooks. I write pages of notes, lists, ideas, recipes, blog ideas etc every day and go through these notebooks so quickly. I love their three for $10 deal.

I'm joining in with the Fabulous And Fun Life Monday Makeup Madness Linky Party!

Cute Overload: A Typo Haul!

All of the cute!

I'm a huge sucker for cute stationery, and wanted to share some pics of my recent Typo haul, from an online sale they were having. I think it was 40% off, or something around that figure. And when I say recent, I actually mean June/July. This year, at least! Anyway, I saved a lot.

So the box arrives, and look what's printed on the top!

Hello, yourself!

I couldn't pass up this cheeky Campus A4 notebook. It's really thick and there are brown paper pocket dividers throughout that are interesting. But obviously I got it for the saying on the front!

Type your favourite F word in the comments below!

I'm going to use this fancy Collage manilla folder to hold recipes I've cut out of magazines or printed off the interwebz. Are you dying of cute yet?

I'll never cook any of these recipes, though!

The only item I'm disappointed with is this iPhone case. I like the pink and orange ombre design, however the photograph and product description on the Typo site did not reflect its..... reflectiveness! I really don't like being scared by my own face every time I grab my phone, although I guess I could use it to touch up my lipstick. This is a crap photo because nearly every angle reflected our ceiling fan in the case, so I had to do gymnastics until nothing reflected.

Looks pretty until you pick it up & see your chins!

Love this little notepad with three different designs; a shopping list, days of the week, and general note design. It's called Make A List and comprises 60 sheets, 20 of each of the 3 designs. It says 10 of each on the back but that's a mistake. Here are two of the designs....

I sincerely hope I get around to using this Make & Create Album. It's full of blank pages, perfect for scrapbooking photos and the like, but I'm yet to decide on a theme.

Come to me, inspiration!

My 2014/15 Planner is getting quite the workout in my efforts to be a proper, organised person. Who doesn't love a gold lining?

By now, you're probably aware that I love pink. I use my pink flamingo (or Summer Collage as Typo like to call it) A5 spinout (what?) notebook every day. It's awesome (and cute)!

This reminds me of the John Waters film 'Pink Flamingos'. :-/

Happy Birthday Haul!

My wonderful husband spoiled me with a surprise weekend trip to Brisbane for my Birthday last month and front row seats to Grease the musical! It was totally amazing and I had the best Birthday ever! We also checked out the Treasury Casino and did some shopping. I bought all this for myself, so it's my Happy Birthday Haul!

I forgot to include my MAC lippie in the haul photo, so here it is on its own....

Complete Haul:
PULP FICTION bluray
HIGH FIDELITY bluray
CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE bluray
White Unicorn
T2 All Sorts One assorted 10 pack
LUSH Bohemian Soap
LUSH Sultana of Soap
LUSH Sea Vegetable Soap
Reflected Deer Archer Case
Rimmel Apocalips Nova
Rimmel Apocalips Celestial
Rimmel Apocalips Solstice
MAC Matte lipstick Russian Red

Above: some of my favourite movies!

Above: OMG, I die! Could this unicorn be any cuter? I'm calling him Max (of course).

Above: I'm new to tea, so I thought an assorted pack would be a good starting point.

Above: I managed to pick three Lush soaps I haven't tried before. Sultana of Soap is creamy, luxurious and smells lovely (haven't tried the others yet).

Above: Seriously, I could buy everything in Typo. I had to have this gorgeous pencilcase!

Above: Finally got myself some Apocalips lip lacquers. Very annoyed at Priceline for sealing them with sticky-tape, which took AGES to get off, came off in tiny pieces and left the tubes damaged. I've even washed them in warm water to try removing the sticky residue, to no avail. Epic Fail, Priceline :(

Above: Woo Hoo, MAC Russian Red. This is nuts good. LOVE!

Above: Cute paper the LUSH soaps were wrapped in!
