Unfinished Business

Hi guys! There are many different ways in which I annoy myself with my own behaviour, one of those being that I don't finish a lot of TV shows. And it kills me! So today, I bring you, a comprehensive list of all the TV shows that I've started, but not finished.

The OC

Dawson's Creek

Orange Is The New Black

Girls

Gossip Girl

The L Word

Dynasty (the new Netflix version)

Riverdale

Sex Education

Love Island UK

Love Island USA

The Staircase (the version with Toni Collette)

Titans

Bling Empire

Some of these I just have to watch the current season, some I stopped a few episodes short of the finale (why!?), some I lost interest in because they turned to shit (Riverdale, anyone?). Anyway now I have a list of everything I need to finish to refer to.

Apologies for the shitty blog post, I was quite busy last week and didn't have much time for blogging. Fingers crossed next Monday's will be better!

And a quick reminder to enter my Barbie Giveaway which ends at midnight tonight (Monday 31/10) if you haven't already!

Another Oh Deer Sugar Haul!

Hi guys! This is the closest I've come to not getting a post out on Monday, but I'll be damned if I'm going to ruin my streak at this point, so here we are! Basically a combination of being really busy last week plus there being sickness in the house meant I totally forgot about it. Oopsie! But luckily, I buy things on the reg, so could easily whip up this 'Another Oh Deer Sugar Haul' post, lol.

I had a lot of ODS points to redeem plus there were free samples and Lucky Dips and whatnot to add to my order, so putting in another order was a no-brainer. My last order from them was in March this year. I normally only do one Oh Deer Sugar purchase every year, but sometimes you just gotta #treatyoself

Side note; I haven't had time to finish my Birthday Freebies post yet, despite teasing it recently. Once school goes back I'll have way more time to get this post finished, so hold tight on that one. Like Christmas, it's still coming!

Back to the Oh Deer Sugar goodies. Let's have a look at what I bought!

If you've read my posts over the years, you'll know that my favourite ever Oh Deer Sugar products are the Soda Pop Body Scrubs and the Shower Mooses (spelt this way on purpose, doe!). First up is the Seas The Day Shower Moose Body Wash, which smells ah-mazing! 'A pocket full of sweets, a bottle of homemade lime cordial and you're all set to spend the day at the beach'. I love fresh, clean, beachy smells, so this is definitely my jam!

Next, a full-size Ice Cream Parlour Soda Pop Body Scrub. 'Banana split ice cream topped with sliced strawberries, mangoes, kiwi fruit and vanilla syrup.' Fruity and sweet, this should be an absolute delight to shower with! I love that the soda pop version of their scrubs have a whipped, moist texture instead of the drier, more abrasive OG scrubs.

My first foray into shower steamers and I'm intrigued! So you're meant to place this little cube on your shower floor under running water and the heat and steam will release the aroma. I opted for the Juicy Shower Steamer, which smells like freshly squeezed citrus fruits. I can't wait to try it!

I had a code to get a free Lucky Dip but when I applied the code it didn't seem to work so I added it again and basically I ended up with two of these (I think I paid for one and one was free). Anyway they are Dessert Shot Drops and I have no idea what that is lol. After researching on site, it seems they are Wax Melts with 'lucky dip' fragrances that are a secret and you're meant to guess them. OK then.

I got a couple of free samples, the first of which is this little blue Lego Brick Wax Melt. And lastly, this green Tropicolada Body Scrub. You can add a Free Sample to your order, choosing from Home, Body or Shower categories. I picked Shower and ended up with the body scrub which I'm really pleased with. I'm not sure how I ended up with two, but I'm not complaining. Got to love a freebie!

I Made Bliss Balls!

Hi guys! Today's post features the Bliss Balls I made at the end of September. In true 'me' fashion, I didn't make them until the date of their Best Before, because that's how organized I am. Also, I bought a Food Processor to make these. Albeit, a mini one, and on sale at Harbour Town, but still, these were getting made, even if I had to buy the appliances needed to do so. Let me explain!

The Westfield Plus app was doing an offer for members where if you spend a certain amount on food at Westfield Marion, you could pick up a free Recipe In A Jar. You could choose between some kind of vegetable/lentil soup situation (lol) or these Bliss Balls. What a no-brainer. I didn't realise at the time that I only had that month to make them in, nor that you needed a food processor to do so. I was super busy last month too, hence why it came down to the last day. I'm gonna say they were kind of fun to make, but ultimately not worth it. They literally taste like health and no one is eating them lol. BALLS!

Let's take a look at the process(or). Haha.

Here's the cute little mini food processor I bought. I had fun working out how to use it given I hate reading user manuals. But we got there in the end. And it was big enough!

Here's the Bliss Balls 'Recipe In A Jar'. It doesn't say the quantities, but the ingredients are dates, cranberries, oats, coconut, cocoa and chia seeds. I'm thinking I should have rolled the finished balls in extra coconut as a last step, but it's unlikely this would have improved them.

The method is super easy. You just dump the ingredients into the processor, add a pinch of salt and blitz to combine. Then you add 1/4 cup of warm water and blitz until it resembles cookie dough. It's at this point I wished I had made more cookies in my life so I knew what cookie dough looked like. So I just kind of guessed. If needed you can add a tablespoon of warm water at a time until you reach cookie dough consistency. Then you just roll into balls and place into the fridge to set. I've just read that you're supposed to keep them in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Oops because mine are in a Glad bag on the counter top. But I guess it doesn't matter because no one is eating them anyway lol.

Also my balls are all different sizes, progressively getting larger as my patience rolling them ran out. I've tried to choose uniform ones for the photos. Just know, there are some rather large ones that did not make the cut.

What can I do in the future to make my balls taste nicer? Let me know in the comments! Haha.

Manicure: 'Punk' by Furless

Hi guys! Just a quick mani post today because I've been quite busy and manicure posts are the ones I can complete the fastest. What's your go-to quickie post when you're short on time? I am also working on a couple of other blog posts, one of them being the Birthday Freebies one I've been meaning to write for the last few years, lol.

Anyway, 'Punk' by Furless Cosmetics is a beautiful deep purple colour. I think Furless Cosmetics closed down a few years ago, and I have a bunch of their lacquers from even further back, so this bottle is pretty old! I like the big square glass bottle, it looks pretty cool, but you do not want to drop this thing on your foot! It applies really well. This is just one coat, but I'll probably wait until it starts to chip off and apply another coat. One of these photos must have been taken in completely different light, apologies for that!

That's it for this week! Hope you're enjoying the Public Holiday and I wish you a lovely week!
